Magick is Work, Not a Miracle!
Harvest Blessings my sistars and brothers!
As the night beckons, leaves turning gold, red, orange and brown; with fresh air chilling, it is certain our last harvest celebration quickly approaches. A 3rd harvest celebration of wonderful foods we thankfully share. Yet just as important, it's a time to raise community, communion and magick!
So often we gather to circle for mirth and companionship, with minutes devoted to ritual, worship, healing work or magick. This is "nice" and has it's place, but it is low in vibration for raising powerful community, communion and transformation for us to live better.
Some say sabbats are for celebrating and the other works are for other occasions. I say our constraints of time and energy, already filled, lend us few opportunities to collectively do the work of creating the world we say we want. We can change that. If we want a safe, fun and fulfilling life, then we must include magick in our gatherings, not just in solitary workings.
Magick is work, it is not a miracle!!!!!!!!!Practitioners are well aware that magick is the result of the effort of our intention. What better time to shift universal energy with deep, powerful intentions than Sabbat gatherings of several people? Today, as in days of old, our lives and wellbeing are dependent on our interconnectedness with each other. Current technology has created a multitude of opportunities to network and form linkages. Let's use these to our advantage, with the purpose of creating a peaceful, loving, light filled planet to live. Connect and plan. And, if you're part of an online community, communicate; lurking adds little to raising HER consciousness.
In this season of Samhain, as the veils come down to re-connect with our ancestors, take action to speak up, write up and be present with those of us alive, who may, in some way, remind you of an ancestor. You can make a difference in someones life.
As for circling, remember that unless you are a devoted practitioner of projection, your spiritual presence does not make up for your absence. Too often we are there in spirit. We need you there in spirit, body and mind!!!
Enjoy your Samhain/New Year/Ancestral celebration, giving thanks for and to your ancestors of blood and spirit; call for their guidance and protection, nourish them with offerings of gratitude and, this year, ask them what you can do differently to make a difference for healing in your family, community and planet. Be patient your answer will come.
