I enjoyed this so very much. I had first heard of the contact with plants from reading the story of Findhorn. I love plants.. The times I come closest to feeling what you have described is during my outdoor rituals on MidSummer's Eves. On those nights... there was always one special place in my yard..(I have since moved) right before the tree-line.. I would leave gifts and a feast there for the fairies.
