I respectfully suggest that you absorbed this idea; that violating taboos raises magickal energy, from the fantasies of witchhunters. I think this article is very misguided and potentially dangerous to the Pagan community. I don’t believe this idea is derived from traditional neopagan philosophy of magick and I challenge you to prove me wrong.

Is it sexual energy or magickal energy that is ‘released’? Are they the same thing, to you? If so – why? Why and how would any energies be “psychically amplified” by violating sexual taboo?

I can’t find any logical connection between what you are describing here and – for example – Bonewitz’ theorems on Real Magick and how it operates. People should be very cautious about publishing hastily conceived concepts for ritual practices, in places where entire communities of people could become associated to those ideas.

This is a great series, often we get pretty caught up in the rituals & a little stuffy…sexuality has a wonderful effect of bringing energy, passion & even a little laughter if you do it right (or if you don’t…hehehe!)
