Inner Creates Outer

‘Inner creates outer’ is the only phrase my inner druid guides have repeated in my visions over many years. Usually they say nothing at all but simply stand waiting for me when I enter the spirit world, then silently lead me to a stone circle or nature sanctuary and let the transformative vision prepared for me unfold on its own. But this one phrase has been repeated at significant moments of budding awareness through all 38 years of my druid journey. Clearly, druids who remain silent 99% of the time want me to know this particular truth to my very core, inner creates outer. And whenever it’s whispered as a vision unfolds within my mind, I can feel this truth resonating through my heart and anchoring in there ever more deeply. A few words spoken in a surround of stillness carry great power!

But this teaching didn’t become real to me until I went to energy school 23 years ago. Our light-healing teacher kept saying how everyone’s own fear beliefs are created into their individual lives, most of those beliefs from past lives, completely unconscious, but repeated in the present time. He stressed the need to read shadow energies until we understood the belief our clients had once taken on. And then we drew this belief into the light of love in our hearts, until it simply melted back into light and was gone. Poof! The utter simplicity and magic of healing. But what completely astonished me afterwards was to watch the spirit world methodically clean up all reflections of recently-healed beliefs in my own and my fellow students’ outer circumstances. I was literally astounded to see living proof that inner does in fact create everyone’s outer world and how easily these outer ‘realities’ could be changed with inner healing work. That time in my life was extremely painful, and realizing I could change my outer misery by healing myself within drew me to my path as nothing else could.

Little did I know that it would take so long, that those past life beliefs would quickly change into beliefs from my clients’ or my own descent through seven heavens, down from the Creator Sun, the highest world, to earth, the very lowest. Over all these years, though, my own and my clients’ worlds have cleared of difficulty, slowly, piece by piece, spirit guides carefully cleaning up outer fear reflections after every single inner healing. Our dreams have grown bigger, too, more and more aligned with Love and the will of heaven. My very biggest dream is this; that everyone everywhere across the planet will learn to heal their own inner fears and persist on a path of transformation just like mine, because all of us together create what happens on the global stage. I know in the depths of my being that humanity can, and someday will, heal every fear-based outer creation there is. And the spirit world will devotedly take away all the dark reflections that ever were; greed, poverty, corruption, murder, rape, war, insanity, illnesses of all kinds, and on and on. Earth will become the reflection of the highest heaven she was always meant to be, Paradise, a land of true-love partners living in beloved communities, all in service to the One Beloveds, Goddess and God. Does this sound too far-fetched to be real? I know it’s possible, that it’s not so very far away, either, despite the major troubles which surround us all right now. THIS is the true power of ‘Inner creates outer.’ This knowing is the most important one there is (well, except for “Your heart is bigger than any darkness,’ perhaps, the only other phrase they’ve repeated over the years, whenever I’m tempted to close my heart down instead of embracing some seriously disgusting or horrific fear energy I’m working on long enough to transmute it back into love.) Inner creates outer! I want to shout it from the rooftops sometimes, so everyone will understand and turn inward to begin this magical process. (Now that would surprise my neighbors, if their reclusive, meditative, druid lady began hollering from the shingles! But I AM tempted at times, I must admit!)

There is another important piece I want to add here. For in the druid courses and ceremonies I’ve studied or attended, this knowing is completely absent. And it disappoints me every time. There are 16 light structures in that seventh heaven, which I was taught in thorough and prolonged detail on my path up through them. The highest light structure is the Creator Sun, home of God/Goddess and the place every one of us was originally created from. It is this sun which creates the inner worlds, those many planes of light we are all ascending, plus every being’s inner spirit or personality. Every person’s personality is made up of twelve basic parts, each a reflection of one of the gods or goddesses in the Creator Sun (Goddess, God, divine infant girl and boy, father of the mind, mother of the mind, virgin girl, virgin boy, father of action, mother of action, little girl and boy). So, everyone’s inner spirit has these same basic divisions, each part with very specific directives and regencies in every life. For instance, if a person is at work earning a livelihood, his or her inner father is lit up, for that’s what the father part of the spirit is responsible for, regardless of which outer type of body that spirit may be inhabiting.) And it’s through these inner levels that all creativity is born and flows forth. The inner spirit is also the Source of both Love and healing, for those powerful regents of the Creator Sun flow through each and every one of us. And the spirit is highly, highly creative! It’s the diamond spark in the very core of each heart that creates all individual love and fear beliefs into our own little worlds (and to a lesser degree, what occurs across the planet). Inner creates outer! Two light structures below the Creator Sun is the Stillpoint Center, which looks like an eye. This light structure takes the directives of the Creator Sun and creates them into the outer worlds across the cosmos. So, it’s primarily focused on the outer world. The Four Directions circle of gods and goddesses is the central core of the Stillpoint Center, surrounded by the circle of Zodiac Elders. And between those two circles are the three great rays of aspect, which split the four basic spirit divisions of inner mother, father, girl, and boy into twelve, i.e. the Zodiac regents. These rays of aspect are the three descending rays that many druids revere. And all of these are in the Stillpoint Center, with its focus on the outer world. The inner spirit regents with their creative power are totally missed here! Inner creates outer! The origin and flow for everything there is streams down from the Creator Sun into the small central eye of the Stillpoint Center, and all those SC regents are in full service to it. Period. (See the first book of my trilogy, Alba Reborn, the Revised version, for a complete discussion of the regents of the Creator Sun and Stillpoint Center)

The eight high holy days of the druid year are also portals during which the inner spirits of everyone across the cosmos opens each year as follows: Christmas dawn/divine infants, both girl and boy; Imbolc, little girl; Vernal Equinox, little boy; Bealtain, virgin girl; Midsummer, virgin boy; Lughnasa, mother (action); Autumnal Equinox, father (action); Samhein, grandmother (elder mother of the mind), Midwinter (elder father of the mind). And following those holy days, we each have six weeks of growth of that particular part of our spirits every year. But again, in the ceremonies I’ve attended and the courses I began, these spirit openings and inner connections are completely missing. I must say this bothers me greatly! Greatly! (Though I definitely do NOT want to get into a big conflict with any other groups here and am not trying to say I am better than anyone at all. I just think this point needs to be made.)

How do I know all this?, you may ask.I simply sat and felt the living spirit of those holy days. And all the 20 years of reading and research I did before that only left me more confused than when I began, too many gaping holes, and even more distortions. Druidry is a Goddess path. It’s Her spiritual stream on earth. And She wants us to connect in the now with the living breathing power of spirit. Sit down, for goodness sake, clear your mind, and open your heart. That’s how I learned everything of value I know. It’s time to open our sense of the inner, to tap into the power and flow of spirit and Creator Love. It’s well past time, if you ask me, for only this will bring forward the healing of the earth and transmute all those shadows into real love at along last. I say, let the days of spirit power and the reign of love that’s been promised from time immemorial begin.

Spirits on Individual Journeys

February, 2019

Indigenous people don’t learn by looking outside themselves; instead, they learn how to remember the knowledge they already possess.”

Malidoma Somé (Dagara elder and shaman)

I’ve been practicing and studying earth-based spiritual systems since 2000. In the process of trying to heal from deep depression and addiction, I’ve worked with many different teachers from many of the world’s traditions. In my darkest moments, I needed older, wiser, and mostly healed guides who could help me learn to listen to my inner wise one (A.K.A. Dreamer, High Self). When I was struggling the most on my life journey, I leaned heavily on their knowledge to get through those times and I am so grateful to this day for each and every one of them. Their ability to be patient, resourceful, and benevolent is the reason I am still here, healthy and free.

Although my spiritual teachers varied in the knowledge they shared with me and their methods, they’ve all been consistent in insisting on one principle: the real guide on any individual’s journey is their Dreamer. Whenever I had questions that needed answering, they always pointed me to my inner wisdom first. Sometimes, they would add to my original statement with information from their own lived experiences. However, more often, they would simply say: “See: You know already so go and do what your Dreamer told you to do.” It wasn’t unusual for them to send me out on ceremony to find the answers I was looking for when my inner guidance wasn’t feeling so clear.

One of my first tasks when I started studying shamanism was to identify the sound of my Dreamer’s voice. This may sound like a simple task to some readers, and perhaps it is for some people. I had so many different and competing voices in my head that this seemed to be an insurmountable mission. When I sat in silence, I heard voices of teachers, family members, mentors, friends and others throughout my life who thought they knew better than I did what I needed. By the time I was in my twenties, I had convinced myself that they were right. So much so, in fact, that I was lost; my inner compass felt broken. The most vicious voice was that of my own ego. In Gregg Henriques’ article “The Elements of Ego Functioning,” he describes the ego in this way:

Freud conceived of the ego as the psychological apparatus that regulated sexual and aggressive impulses and navigated the tension between those impulses and the demands and values of society. A more modern conception that is certainly related to Freud’s is to consider the ego as the self-consciousness system. The self-consciousness system is the narrating portion of human consciousness that reflects on one’s thoughts, feelings and actions and inhibits or legitimizes them to one’s self and to others. In this sense, ego is very similar to what is meant by the term identity, and ego functioning refers to the components of the self-consciousness system that relate directly to mental health.”

I realized that my ego had succeeded in convincing me that any decision I made that went against the confines of the identity it had created for me was a threat to my very life. On my blog, I wrote an entry entitled “Going Mental” in 2012. It describes the practice I began of having conversations with my ego like I would with one of my younger students to discover what it needed and how I can make it feel safe while still doing the bidding of my Dreamer. I saw that my ego was just trying to survive and keep “us” alive and this helped me to find compassion for it.

On the other hand, my Dreamer’s voice is always calm, benevolent, wise and sometimes firm but never cruel. She talks to me the way a loving parent would talk to a child. When I am making choices that are causing me to stray from my Sacred Dream (my life’s purpose), she gently pokes me. If I am not listening because I am preoccupied with mundane life tasks or if I heard her but choose to ignore her counsel, the messages come in a more insistent and often chaotic way until I correct my course. Thankfully, I usually don’t have to wait until my health declines, my relationships descend into a three-ring circus or I am in financial distress to learn these lessons any more. My daily spiritual practices keep me tuned in to my Dreamer’s voice so I can make mostly wise choices day by day.

I often remind worried parents about this fact in my work with families: They are not in control of their children’s journeys. This is tricky because parents are also responsible for the health and well-being of their children until they are eighteen in our society. As parents and guardians, it is easy to think we know better. And I often note that despite having parents who do lots right, some children still go down unfathomable paths.  I have seen this a lot in my twenty-year career as a teacher. What I have faith in is that our souls* are ancient and wise; many of us have lived many lifetimes and Great Spirit is patient in letting us come back again and again to this Earth plane to refine our characters. I don’t know if this resonates for you but this feels true to me: Elders have told me that ultimately on a spiritual level, each of us has a life purpose that only our Dreamers know.

When we validate a child’s interests, wonderings, and learning inclinations, we are following the direction of their Dreamer. I think one place where a lot of us adults get stuck is when we expect that children will have the same inclinations that we do or we rescue them from making mistakes. Mistakes are part of the learning process. Our Dreamers are also leading us in very unique ways according to our own life purposes, which may be really different than those of our children. Our children might need to make certain mistakes in order to learn what they came here to learn in this lifetime. While it’s hard to watch people we love make choices that cause suffering for them, it can also be a powerful life lesson in learning how to honour another’s path while staying firmly on our own as individuals. If we keep leaning into our healing in every lifetime, eventually we might not even need to reincarnate. Until then, I am glad my Dreamer is with me every step of the way.

*Please note that when I speak of the “soul” here, I mean the original essence of who we are that is made of light and can never be harmed. This aspect of us is always with Spirit, even as we reincarnate. Our Dreamers represent the essence of our soul; they travel the spirit world and guide us in our incarnations. I like to think of my soul as being the part of me that stays anchored to the Divine always.

The Bad Witch’s Guide

The Bad Witch’s Guide to Shadow Work

(Photo by Christian Holzinger on Unsplash)

For about the last two months I have spent a lot of time going within and working on my spirit. Some of it has been a choice, some has been circumstances. My health (physically) has been very poor since about July and while I am no longer bleeding nearly to death regularly I felt I needed to find my strength in body and spirit.

I have done a lot of yoga. A lot of meditation, usually every day, sometimes twice a day, and while drawing in the light around me my shadow would not be still. Darkness has a bad rap. It is often mistaken as evil. Rejected and defiled. Repressed and denied, this is the animal within. Animals are not generally evil. Neither is the shadow.

When I started looking at this place, the in-conscious (unconscious doesn’t give it enough credit), in my early 20’s I found it as the wolf. The singer of bones. The true wild. It is that gut animal instinct and for most of us it dwells within our shadow. If I gave it space and respect it spoke to me. It was wise and knowing with strong instincts that are annoying never wrong no matter how much I try and think around them! It kept me alive. Yet this was not some soft puppy. It was the desire to bite which hurt me. Run from the unknown and dig into things I didn’t want to know.

It was never about trying to control the wolf. The wolf is wild and that is how it should be. It was about listening to it, bringing it forward in my mind and analysing why I was feeling this way. The wolf brought me gifts I didn’t understand. Usually dead things from my past. A memory, good or bad. A feeling, usually something sad because I bury the shit out of those!

In slowly accepting my wild-self, that part of the shadow self, I began to go deeper still. Yet I was afraid. I was right to be. For deep in my darkness was a dragon. A dragon made of fire and destruction. A dragon that I could really feel writhe within my gut when riled. This is not a metaphor when that part of me was “woken” my guts would squirm as though something wriggling around in there. A dragon that terrified me. It was scary this beast ripping out of my being and me losing control. Uncontrolled violence and wrath. I locked it down, I repressed it hard. I refused to listen, I even hated it.

It took years of journey work. Years of looking trying to understand. I remember exactly when I met the dragon. I only went to a Dark Moon circle once and as I journeyed I joined a group of female dancers dressed all in red, whom danced covered in sharp blades and barbs. I joined the dance with them and I was cut a few times, we all were. Afterwards in a tent of red drape we compared scars as dancers do, laughing and smiling. Still I was to go deeper. Down, down. Deeper into the caves. At first the caves were cold and water dripped everywhere. Then they became warmer and dryer. There was no light. None at all. Yet I knew the way and there in the dark was a huge faintly glowing red dragon. It was asleep coiled up. Just breathing. It was beautiful. Like copper. I reached out my hand and it was warm and smooth. An eye fluttered open. The voice was like thunder, the deepest sound but gentle. This was new to me.

I asked “what are you?”

I am your pain.”

I began to weep. My fear melted and I realised this beast, this part of myself, had been consuming my pain all my life. That there had been so much especially as a child I didn’t understand I had created this to deal with all the things I was unequipped to understand. Now I understood. That the dragon was like my wolf. A teacher if I listen. A friend if I needed it.

Working in your shadow is a place within The Dreaming. It is both real and metaphor. You might not have wolves or dragons. You might have lions or “demons”. Yet the demons we make are no less real for us making them. They are often woven from our instincts, good and bad and our worst parts. The parts we reject from our Light.

They are our addictions, our vices. Our rages and pain. Our deep grief and sorrow. Yet if we come to them gently and listen they can bring such healing. That is not to say you allow them to indulge. You listen to when, to why, to the triggers. You understand, maybe even speak about it and let the urge go.

When both my parents died within six months of each other and I was cut out of the family by my sister I was devastated in a way I couldn’t comprehend. Being a witch and bi-sexual is just not okay with her. I remember sitting at the dinner table with the real and distinct urge to burn a path of destruction between myself and my sister. Not a metaphorical one. I mean kill and burn everything and everyone I met until I reached her and let fire take her too. It was odd and specific and I simply spoke about it and ate my dinner. A few month later I discovered it was a common tactic by a long dead ancestor (Grace O’Malley) to destroy traitors that way. I gave voice to my shadow, my pain but I did not give into it.

As Samhain comes and then the deeper dark of the year it is an excellent time to look within at the things moving around in our shadows. It is a daunting task, and one often sorely neglected by many magickal practitioners.

Simple Shadow Ritual

You will need:

A mirror

Patchouli oil

Candles/soft lighting

Bay laurel leaves

Yarrow (dried)

Frankincense resin

Heat proof container and charcoal to safely burn your herbs.

Notebook or journal.

Soft blankets (get comfy this might take a while).

Prepare your space as you would usually. Anoint your forehead and heart with the patchouli oil.

I humbly come to my Shadow’s Gate.

I come to learn not to hate.

I come to see, I come to hear.

Open the Gate as I draw near.

Touch the edge of the mirror with your dominant finger used to anoint yourself in a deosil direction. Keep the light to a minimum but use enough to be safe. Light your charcoal in your cauldron or censor. First adding the yarrow, then the bay, then the frankincense.

Cleanse your body in the smoke and prepare yourself to sit and stare with the mirror. Visualise your “gate” and begin to unlock it. This might take some time. There may be stairs or even just darkness. You may have to “jump”. Your darkness will not be the same as anyone else’s. When you are ready focus on your own face in the mirror. Say:

I see you. I am listening.

You may or may not “see” anything. You might. We spend a lot of time locking this energy away, it may take a long time to open it again. Write what you see in you notebook.

Re-anointing the mirror in a widdershins direction and drawing a banishing pentagram on the glass should you feel the need.

Humbly I came to my Shadow’s Gate.

I came to learn not to hate.

I came to see, I came to hear.

The Gate is Closed I leave you here.

Dissolve your sacred space as you would usually. If you wanted to evoke particular Deities during your opening rites please make sure to thank them appropriately afterwards.

Review of The Death Show: A 14-Part Series on Healing and Understanding presented by The Outer Limits of Inner Truth Radio Show

The Death Show: A 14-Part Series on Healing and Understanding presented by The Outer Limits of Inner Truth Radio Show

About:

…”The World’s Only Show About Forensic Soul Analysis. If Science & Mysticism got married, the Outer Limits of Inner Truth radio show would be their child. OLIT (Outer Limits of Inner Truth) is a program about introspection, discovery, and evolution. It premiered on February 2014 and within a few short months, was picked up for national syndication on Starcom Radio Networks (44 AM Stations). In 2018, OLIT was picked up by Mental Health News Radio Network (a large media network that features programs about psychology and mental health)…”

This 14-Part series about Death is comprehensive and informative in its presentation. Each broadcast is an hour or more in content with each section parceled out to reflect all of the stages, questions and beliefs about Death. The collection of more than seventy interviews is a mix of select listeners and a heavy dose of professional clairvoyants, psychics, mediums, artists, clinical psychologists, therapists, Reiki Masters and more. Overall, I found the broadcasts to more than adequately foster a place of community, sharing and counsel that is applicable to all aspects of the grieving process and more importantly to the fear of the unknown and our own mortality.

Although time intensive, I enjoyed listening to the different perspectives presented and broadening my own philosophies regarding the Death Process. My Mother passed two years ago on September 22nd., so the information presented was both timely and comforting.

These are the topics explored:

The Healing Process Begins

Managing Mindset Parts 1 and 2

Exploring Mental Health and remaining centered and focused throughout the grieving process.

What You Can Do For Others

Practical advice on how to navigate grief as a support for the bereaved. It is a delicate space of knowing when and how to interject your support and sympathy when you are trying to offer comfort. Understanding what this looks like and that every individual is unique in how they process loss provides the necessary insight in reading the situation and assessing the need.

The Virtues

The Virtues are the Elite Team of experts on the Outer Limits including a Medium (Lisa McGarrity), Psychic Empath (Kerrie O’Connor), Animal Communicator (Lisa Caza) and Astrologer (Constance Stellas).

I was particularly drawn to this fifth installment and discussion of the Soul’s Journey and past life experience. All of us want more information on what to expect of our own death and how to reach out to those who have passed. Questions such as – How long before you should wait to attempt contact with your loved one? What forms do the Spirits take when they present themselves to the psychic/medium? How are they able to communicate?

How soon after the passing would you wait to connect? – general rule of thumb about 1 year for clear connection.

I especially liked the simplicity of this suggestion by Lisa McGarity:

What to do if you would like to communicate with someone passed over…..

Sending the intention of being able to clearly communicate with your loved one. Write a letter as though you were going to interact on a physical level. Often the response will come in the form of a dream or impression.

Teachers and Mystics Parts 1 and 2

There are many beliefs and cultural bias around death. Hearing some of these teachings and the ways we process the spiritual nature of death. Precepts such as non-judgment and the dispelling of the illusion of corporeal and manifest life. The Soul and the human form are reflections of consciousness and the levels of understanding and development that has occurred within manifest form, aligning the transition from life to death into the point of resonant energy.

Near death Experiences 3-Parts

A series of interviews with individuals who have had NDEs and their unique stories that carry some of the common threads.

Nanci’s Story

An depth sharing of a NDE and the blueprint of our cosmology that she was given.

Communication With the Departed

How communication occurs and the various modalities and types of communion that can be used to seek counsel from those passed.

Animal Afterlife

This section offered some much needed comfort and information to those who have lost a beloved animal companion.

Science and Skeptism

The conclusion of the series attempts to bring science and the inherent skeptic nature into cohesion. It concludes with a 4-way debate between the host, Ryan McCormick, David Silverman President of the American Atheists, David I. Orentein, Ph.D., Humanist Clery and Atheist author and speaker

NDE Researcher Dr. Jeffrey Long. The opening question posited by the host, Ryan is:

What if all of the previous segments were “bullshit”? What if science had a logical explanation for everything stated and there was nothing mystical about the experience of death? Ryan goes on to encourage listeners to develop their own belief systems rather than “following” the conclusions of others. This segment opens with an interview with Bob Berman, astronomer and co-author of Biocentrism: How Life and Consciousness are the Keys to Understanding the True Nature of the Universe who promotes knowledge of our place within the Universe in both the stages of life and death and time’s role in creation.

The debate opens Pandora’s box of enabling the listener to formulate their own realities between what science and mysticism repel as truth and attempt to coalesce as belief.

Connecting with the Inner Wise One

September, 2018

“Only free people can come together; sovereignty is something we can only give ourselves. The key to sovereignty is sharing. Everyone in time will become a healer because that’s the only way we can move. You have to heal yourself first and love all that you see. This requires humility; this needs to be learned in the head. Live what you feel–that requires reverence. Humility and reverence make up the heart. With self-discipline, we know we are all connected and learn there are no separations.”

-Hawaiian Kahuna Hale Makua

We are living in a time when connecting with elder medicine is essential if we are going to be able to navigate the challenges of our time: continuing wars, genocide, global warming, economic collapse, and violence of all kinds. Wise elders are a living resource; they have much life experience and they have learned how to wade through life’s ups and downs in a way that looks easeful and even graceful. Over the years, I’ve had the good fortune to work with elders from many different traditions and backgrounds. I’ve had the chance to study how they talk, what actions they take, how they treat people, and what values are contained in their world views. What follows is a bit of what I’ve learned.

Wise elders are masters of timing. They don’t rush and they don’t tarry either. They don’t always give you an answer right away. They know that life is complex and that different circumstances require nuanced responses. Wise elders listen with their whole selves and really take in what the other person is saying. They listen for connection and greater understanding instead of from a place of trying to be right or prove their point. They’ve learned that the quality of one’s relationships is the most important thing about living. Relationships extend to all living and sentient beings: the plants, the animals, the mineral world, and ancestors in the spirit world, for example. Wise elders know that we are part of the extensive matrix of life that we cannot possibly comprehend in its entirety. They know that every action an individual takes has an impact on that web of life and so elders seek to be conscious of the effect of their words and actions. Wise elders take care of themselves because they know that the only thing they have one hundred percent control over is how they treat themselves on the inside and on the outside. The ability to truly love “everything we see” starts with the relationship we have with ourselves.

In the tradition I study, we offer community members turning 60 an opportunity to have an elder honouring ceremony. The elder can always decline, however, most accept because they want to share their life’s knowledge and skills with future generations. They know that giving back is part of the elder way. At forty-three, I am an elder-in-training with training wheels on. I won’t have my elder honouring ceremony for quite some time yet. However, I’ve already started to tap into the energy of my inner wise one. When I am in a situation that I am not sure how to move through, I call on my inner elder–the elder I will be–to guide and inform me. When I am about to go into a tough conversation that I know I have to have and want to make sure happens in a good way, I call on my inner elder. In this way, she is teaching me how to use my energy, my words, and my actions more judiciously while still keeping me connected to the essence of who I am. Often, I hear things coming out of my mouth or see myself taking actions my younger self would never have dared to speak or carry out. I feel a lot braver when I can see out of the benevolent elder eyes of my inner wise one. I can see the long view and I don’t get so caught up in trivial things. I am also less likely to keep bumping my head up against things I have no control over. Instead, I see where I can indeed make positive impact and put my energy there. I skirt obstacles when I can and face the ones I can’t move around. I’ve learned that that is how life works: presenting challenges and gifts. Life doesn’t do this to punish us but to sharpen the quality of our characters.

This shamanic strategy is available to anyone at any age. I know there were times in my childhood when I acted in a way that was “wise beyond my years.” Although I didn’t consciously know it at that time, my inner elder was moving through me without a lot of effort. Kids, of course, tend to be a lot more open to expressing different aspects of their psyche than adults are. However, any of us can hold the intent to play with connecting with this inner aspect that is always there to see how we can move with more ease and grace in our lives before our chronological elder years. Perhaps if more people did, we would come to a place of inner sovereignty earlier in our individual life cycles and come up with creative solutions to the world’s problems.

The Astonishing Powers of Intuitive Healing

There are four amazing gifts of healing by simply ‘reading’ the energy or spirit in a person’s aura using intuition and inner sight, gifts I think would help virtually everyone to understand. The first is the ability to tap into the unconscious in moments. As a clinical psychologist, I was trained in the old therapeutic talking method. This means walking clients through memories, often from childhood, in order to bring forgotten fears into awareness. This is because any event that is pushed out of an individual’s consciousness is locked in. Growth from new experiences and healing efforts cannot reach it. Only when the fear is brought back into awareness can the mind apply all that has been learned in the intervening years and choose a new and far more appropriate belief. As a therapist, this was always a magical moment, watching those mental wheels of change whirring away.

But it often took a year or two to talk an individual through their inner barriers to reach core memories that were seriously impacting their lives, like peeling off the layers of an onion to the first moment a mistaken belief was taken in. So, in energy school, I was thrilled to observe that focusing on a shadow energy, reading the memory stored there through intuition or inner sight and telling what I’d seen or felt, brought the memory to awareness in fellow students in seconds. This simple shift convinced me to switch to an energy healing method in my therapy practice immediately. And in the 22 years since, it has never failed, a vastly more accelerated (and cost-effective!) method than the old way, the speed of light brought into therapy!

If you have never ‘read’ energy at all, then start by playing with it. Go up to a tree or flower, perhaps, and close your eyes. Don’t touch it, just be close enough to feel its aura, about 4 or 5 inches away. Then open your mind and heart and feel it. There are vast differences between the tree spirits, for instance, that I never discovered until I tried this, spruces quite protective, with almost a policeman type feeling to them, pines like a warm and welcoming mother reaching for her children. See for yourself. It’s a whole new world! Just try this for a while, and it will reactivate your heart’s intuitive and your third-eye’s visual powers. Then, when you are ready to try healing something, sit down and close your eyes. Run your hand about one inch above your skin until you feel a place of shadow, weakness, or coldness, perhaps, where it just doesn’t feel as full of life as everywhere else. Then, focus on that place and let images come into your mind’s eye or feelings into your heart. It may be a bit vague at first, but with practice, you’ll get a definite reading of what is held in that shadow spot. It took me about 2 weeks, with ten minutes of practicing on trees and other simple things, to begin to get very clear and detailed pictures in my third eye of past life events. But some of the people I have in workshops never get pictures like this, because they have entirely different ways of accessing information in spirit form. Usually such folk feel many fewer details than I do, getting a general sense of the shadow energy in their hearts. And that’s good enough. (A very few people I’ve worked with get their intuitive understandings through scent or sound, which I haven’t a clue how to do.) So just understand that you have your own natural way of reading the spirit of things around you and trust that. It’s right for you.

The second phenomenal power of energy work is how easily shadows or fears can be transmuted into light. In my own way of healing, I imagine my client’s (or my own) shadows moving into the core of my heart, a bright white light there that my guides call ‘the creator flame or diamond light’. My druid guides tell me that our imagination is strong enough to actually move quarks, and this is the level such healings are taking place. This diamond light is a small dazzling star that sits right in the center of the four lobes of the heart, the highest vibration in the human bioenergy field, by far (or the universe, for that matter, for it’s a tiny piece of the highest light structure in the seventh heaven, God and Goddess in union). All shadow energies melt instantly into this diamond light, like watching a little cloud disappear in the sky. I was skeptical at first, but again, over many years, this method has consistently resulted in effective change in students, clients, and myself. Even horrific memories of war or childhood abuse cleared in moments, and I’ve never taken on any residue of another’s fears by bringing them into my heart, either. But there are a lot of levels to be ascended through, so another piece of the same fear might show up later on. In every lifetime, we move through all the fears we took on during our once-upon-a-time descent from the highest heaven to earth. You might heal a fear up to the fourth heaven level, say, and then need to heal the rest of it when you get up to the sixth or seventh heaven in your soul climb. And there is a core fear that’s wrapped into all the others, so that, too, will linger in various forms and permutations all the way along. There are many ways of bringing shadows into the light these days. But no matter what method is preferred, it’s still incredible to think that a fear that has plagued an individual for many years (or lives, or eons!) can be transmuted in the twinkling of an eye. This healing is wizard work, for sure!

But by far, the most miraculous effect of spirit healing is realizing that each individual’s unconscious fears hold the circumstances of her or his outer life in place, and that these patterns can change for the better, simply by inner healing. This becomes very, very clear to anyone doing healings on a regular basis as the spirit world takes all reflections of the recently-healed fears out of each person own little world, annoyances and irritations disappearing within a day. Poof, forever gone! This was one of the basic tenets of energy school. But being told does not compare to the wonder of watching a client’s life shift out of suffering after a healing. My own life has changed radically over the many years I’ve made inner healing a daily practice. But it’s also important to understand that there are many, many fears and lessons to be learned. It’s not instant joy, but a process of gradual growth, the emergence of deep and divine aspects of oneself, and the embodiment of wisdom.

When I used the old talking method, only current life memories ever surfaced. And even after years of traditional therapy, with dedicated hard work by both me and my clients, core structures of my clients’ personalities still didn’t change. But by using an energy method that allowed past life memories to be accessed in seconds, suddenly old and deep, and really core parts of my clients’ personalities began to shift. And the fully actualized self, the inner divinity with a personal passion for global change and hopes of a high and holy destiny, did not begin to emerge at all, until memories of that individual’s descent from heaven to earth began to be healed (not until they reached the fourth heaven in their spirit climb, actually). I think this is the truest and most startling power of intuitive healing, the ability to change one’s outer ‘reality’, to find real and lasting freedom from all the fears that plague our lives. It’s because that diamond light in the heart’s core holds a creator essence. So, it creates everything around it into life, fear and love alike, whatever beliefs our spirit carries. And all of that can shift to pure love and freedom, though that does take years of walking, I admit. Still, creating our own reality is magic, pure and simple! It holds out the promise of totally unhooking fear and suffering from our lives, freedom forever. For once an old fear is healed, it will never have to be faced again, even in future lives, so my druid guides tell me.

But the most miraculous power of intuitive healing is this. All that remains in the collective unconscious, the many fears humanity has not yet faced and healed from everyone’s long-ago fall through those seven heavens to earth, is brought up into awareness for healing by the spirit world via global events. In my clients’ and my own life, global catastrophes have caused ancient and very personal memories to surface, over and over again. So this means, if everyone on the planet were to go through an inner healing process, these outer global circumstances would change for the better, too. My druid guides tell me that, if everyone were healed within, all fear-based outer circumstances would shift into loving ones. This means that: mental illness, disease, poverty and excess both, crime, displacement from homelands, even war, would disappear. The times of peace and love sages have spoken of throughout the ages would become a living reality. Imagine this for a moment, will you? Let the shining hope of this miracle of miracles flutter into the depths of your heart and take root, please. Then let us all take hands and move forward to face and heal whatever we must, until peace on earth is at long last realized. I cannot wait!
