A Moment For Self-Love

When was the last time you did something romantic…for yourself?

 

Have you ever bought yourself a love gift – chocolate, flowers, jewelry, or something so special only someone who knew you intimately would think to surprise you with it?

 

How intimate are you with yourself?  Do you ever engage yourself in long conversations, perhaps in a journal, or take yourself out on dates?

 

Whether you are single or married to the best partner in the world, you need to nurture your relationship with yourself.  Acting and speaking in a loving manner to yourself heals you, rejuvenates you, and helps you to grow as a spiritual being.

 

This month’s meditation will help you to nourish yourself from the inside out, and figure out what the self-lover inside you needs to thrive.

 

Begin by taking three cleansing, focusing breaths.

 

Imagine you are inside a vibrant red bubble.  Take in three slow deep breaths, pulling that vibrant red energy into your body, all the way down to the apex of your thighs to nourish your root chakra.  Feel your root chakra accept that nourishing energy, growing brighter, stronger, healthier.  Feel your root chakra’s gratitude as the red bubble shifts into a bubble of fiery orange.

 

Take in three slow, deep breaths, pulling that fiery orange energy into your body, all the way down to the area behind your belly button to nourish your sacral chakra.  Feel your sacral chakra accept this nourishing energy, growing brighter, stronger, healthier.  Feel your sacral chakra’s gratitude as the orange bubble shifts into a bubble of sunny yellow.

 

Take in three slow, deep breaths, pulling that sunny yellow energy into your body, all the way down to the area just beneath your rib cage to nourish your solar plexus chakra.  Feel your solar plexus chakra accept this nourishing energy, growing brighter, stronger, healthier.  Feel your solar plexus chakra’s gratitude as the yellow bubble shifts into a bubble of verdant green.

 

Take in three slow, deep breaths, pulling that verdant green energy into your body, all the way down to the center of your chest to nourish your heart chakra.  Feel your heart chakra accept this nourishing energy, growing brighter, stronger, healthier.  Feel your heart chakra’s gratitude as the green bubble shifts into a bubble of sky blue.

 

Take in three slow, deep breaths, pulling that sky blue energy into your body, into your throat to nourish your throat chakra.  Feel your throat chakra accept this nourishing energy, growing brighter, stronger, healthier.  Feel your throat chakra’s gratitude as the blue bubble shifts into a bubble of deep indigo.

 

Take in three slow, deep breaths, pulling that deep indigo energy into your body, up to the area behind your eyes to nourish your third eye chakra.  Feel your third eye chakra accept this nourishing energy, growing brighter, stronger, healthier.  Feel your third eye chakra’s gratitude as the indigo bubble shifts into a bubble of golden white.

 

Take in three slow, deep breaths, pulling that golden white energy into your body, all the way up to the crown of your head to nourish your crown chakra.  Feel your crown chakra accept this nourishing energy, growing brighter, stronger, healthier.  Feel your crown chakra’s gratitude as the golden bubble expands to fill the entire room and then shifts into a huge bubble of pretty pink.

 

The pink bubble is your self-love chakra, which lives inside the green chakra of your heart.  Here in this bubble of pink, you are breathing in unconditional love and acceptance.  With every breath you nourish your entire being, every molecule of your soul with pure Divine love.  Bask in this love for as long as you choose.

 

When you are ready, think about your deepest, most cherished desires.  What can you do for yourself today to nourish the Divine spark within you?  What can you give to yourself this month to celebrate YOU?

 

When you are ready, allow the pink bubble to shrink slowly until it once again fits inside your green heart chakra, safe inside your center.  Go to sleep now if you can, or if you must get up, take three grounding, revitalizing breaths.  Stretch your limbs and move your body.  Open your eyes, and give yourself a hug.
