Magickal Astrology
Use the Power of the Planets to Create an Enchanted Life
by Skye Alexander

Skye Alexander has been an author I have followed for several years now. She is a practitioner of magick and has a depth of understanding of astrology that fuses the basics of that discipline with practical magickal application. Magickal Astrology: Use the Power of the Planets to Create an Enchanted Life is the latest addition to her impressive collection of writings.

….”Astrology and magick serve as links between universal forces and earthly experience. Like myth, meditation and music, they provide windows through which we can glimpse the Divine and see its hand shaping the manifest world.”….

Ms. Alexander has thoughtfully gathered the information into thirteen (13) chapters, each providing a bit more information to offer the reader the foundations of astrological knowledge and magickal practice to create an interwoven process containing all of the key points necessary for astrological magick.

Each chapter is filled with “more than” the usual attributes and definitions of astrological fundamentals. The reader is treated to a palette of corresponding resonance to chakras, operative magick, music correlates and the systems of magickal alphabets. I particularly enjoyed the overlays of these other components in providing the larger message of exemplifying how each of the disciplines we often consider to be stand alones, inform and are dependent upon one another to gain the deeper insight into the “mysteries”.

Chapter Ten: Astro-Magickal Symbols was one of my favorite readings. Ms. Alexander reinforced the concept that symbology serves as an organic and living energy that infuses our work, both in the mundane and the magickal. Here she touches on not only the glyphs associated with astrological and magickal work, but also the use of magic squares and numerology for the creation of sigils that further deepen the intention and enhance the desired outcome.

Chapter Thirteen: Timing Magick Work is a fitting conclusion, building to the climax of information presented and putting the finishing touch on “how to”. Understanding the differing energies of the days of the week and narrowing down even further to the planetary hours cycled through each day, provide the reader with a map for ensuring that the maximum potency of everything working together as a whole will deliver all that the universe has to offer as support and ally to your work.

The glossary at the end of the book is a handy reference tool, very much in support of this book being an excellent read for the beginner student. Everything needed for a successful practice incorporating astrology into your magick or magick into your practice of astrology is contained in this small, yet mighty book.

Book Review- Midlife Is Not a Crisis: Using Astrology to Thrive in the Second Half of Life by Virginia Bell

Midlife Is Not a Crisis
Using Astrology to Thrive in the Second Half of Life
by Virginia Bell
Published by Weiser
Pages: 242

What others call a midlife crisis, Virginia Bell calls a Mid-course correction, saying, “Whatever we’ve left out of the equation, whatever we’ve ignored, begins to rise up and can no longer be disregarded. This cycle involves four planets and is spread over a decade.”

With that, she welcomes readers to understand life’s most important cycle.

As she began to study astrology in her early-50s, Bell came to realize it wasn’t about something happening in the sky, but something happening within each of us, “and could be a valuable tool for self-discovery.”

In the introduction, she explains the Chiron Return takes place between 49-51, when the comet returns to its place in the birth chart.

“In mythology, Chiron was a great healer and teacher, and this passage is one of the best times to become fully conscious of whatever has not been healed. For many of us, our lives take off in a different direction from what we had anticipated, and often there is failure or loss that serves as a catalyst for this,” she wrote.

She had had my full attention. That’s when I got divorced, moved and changed jobs.

On the next page she notes that Uranus takes 84 years to come back to its place in the natal chart, and that in our early 60s, it makes the last aspect, giving us a second wind.

“There’s a sense of freedom that comes from this edgy aspect, provided we are willing to take some risks and extend ourselves beyond our comfort zone. It’s worth doing, because the actions we take now will impact who we become at eighty-four when Uranus comes full circle,” Bell wrote.

That aspect happened as I made a commitment to find a school bus, renovate it to be an RV and make my future a life on the road, a witch on wheels. That will finally come to fruition this year.

Now I was hooked. I wished I’d had this book starting with my Saturn Rerun around age 29, because “Midlife Is Not a Crisis” serves as a guidebook to the landscape on the second half of our journey. She explained, “[I]t helps to have some knowledge of the terrain, so you can prepare and pack accordingly.”

At the beginning of the book is a concise overview of astrology that introduces beginners to astrological terms, and the concepts of planets, signs and houses.

Bell paraphrases Carl Jung, writing, “Anything born a moment in time has the characteristics of that moment. The birth chart is a picture of the sky at the moment of birth. It is a snapshot of the heavens and all the planets. It is frozen in time. In the next moment, everything moves, but that picture is yours forever; it is eternal, a piece of cosmic DNA.”

Equating power places on the planet to power years in our lives, Bell lays out the lifecycle we all share at the same age.

29 First Saturn Return (Growing up and getting real.)
37-45 Midlife Journey (Breakdowns and breakthroughs.)
49-51 Chiron Return (The youth of old age.)
58 Second Saturn Return (The new elder.)
62-63 Closing Uranus Square (A second wind.)
70s The Seventies (Real problems, real possibilities.)
84 Uranus Return (The homecoming,)

She presents information in a gentle and encouraging manner, always pointing to the gifts, strengths, lessons, vulnerabilities and tools. She’s like a tour guide, helping you navigate the map of your life.

“These cycles or power years are the great turning points in life; at every juncture there will be challenges, lessons, and losses – in this we have no choice. Our freedom lies in how we respond: consciously or unconsciously, awake or asleep, with fear or with love,” Bell wrote.

She sums up the astrology chapter by saying, “It’s all good. There is no such thing as a bad chart or a bad aspect. Hopefully, we all have some great aspects in our birth chart, as well as some challenging ones. Why challenging ones? We’re here to learn. The hard aspects are the ones that push us to grow, change, and achieve. Too many ‘easy’ aspects can make us lazy. Nothing is written in stone. We all have free will. The chart represents potential. Ultimately, it is up to us what we do with it.”

I intend to keep this book until I’m 84.

The Little Book of Saturn

Astrological Gifts, Challenges, and Returns

by Aliza Einhorn

Even those who don’t know a lot about astrology cringe when Saturn is mentioned. Often thought of as bringing bad luck, challenges, loss and constriction, it has been called the Greater Malefic. What Aliza Einhorn does for us in her wonderful book is to show us Saturn as an ally and a teacher, the cosmic alarm clock that tells you to “wake up! Get up…don’t be late.” Don’t miss this opportunity to find out what you need to do to become true to yourself! Saturn will point out where we have strayed from the cosmic blueprint in our natal charts and point us back toward our prenatal vows of who we are striving to become in this lifetime.

This book is a handy manual for those unfamiliar with astrology. In the first two chapters, Einhorn discusses astrology in general, the inner and outer planets and even introduces the ideas of generational planets and timing in the chart. She gives an overview of the houses and explains how the planets “dress” depending on their sign and house placement. So a Taurus Sun in the 12th house is quite different than a Taurus Sun in the 5th. As she says, “you are more than your sun sign.”

Einhorn then takes an in-depth look at Saturn, useful for astrology neophytes as well as those who are more experienced. She kicks off with the comment, “Saturn is your fear.” I had not thought of Saturn that way – but had blamed all my fear on my spooky 12th house Pluto! Where we freeze, where we are blocked, where we are afraid is described by our Saturn sign. As Einhorn says, if we get to know our fear inside and out, Saturn will push us to get through it, to get over it, but creating situations where we can confront it and put it behind us. Thank you, Saturn! Rather than being our worst enemy, Saturn can be our greatest friend if we accept that it will prompt us to keep evolving. And as she says, we can then dismantle that wall of fear brick by brick. Einhorn goes through several other Saturn facets: responsibility, showing up, work and career, mastery, obligation and duty, patience, our teachers, leadership, fathers, growing up. Her examples are well explained and excellent for the astrological lay person who is looking for deeper insight into how to understand a natal chart.

The next sections showcase Saturn in each house and sign with gifts, challenges, ambitions and advice for each. I got good insight into my Libran Saturn from Einhorn’s discussion and found much truth in an interpretation I had not considered before.

The book finishes with a section on the Saturn Return. Einhorn covers the first, second and third returns at ages 28, 56 and 84 (give or take) with real poignance. She shows us how we die to the self we have been, at the losses we have sustained, at choices we must make to move forward. There may be grief and morning thrown in. The Saturn Return is inescapable whether we are aware that the transit is happening – we will feel the pressure as we shift into adulthood, midlife and our elder years. We look forward and backward and assess where we are now and we move into the next phase of our lives – whether we want to or not! Einhorn describes this point as a rite of passage and a crossroads, and suggests working with an actual crossroads at these initiatory times. Her recommendation is to slow down, pause in the center, and then take a stand, make a decision, make a choice about which way to go.

This Little Book of Saturn is of big import and well worth having in your astrological library!

Ms. Fenton wrote a book that is in a straightforward way. I found it engaging and not boringly technical.

I’ve read three other books on astrology by other authors. But, Ms. Fenton’s book is one that gives you the real bare bones of what it takes for you to become an astrologer. Some of the chapters that she covers are, signs of the zodiac, the rising sign and the ascendant, the planets, predictive techniques, and easy miscellany.

In the chapter what constitutes astrology, she gives two different websites, for you to try out. I tried both of these on my phone, which is a Samsung Galaxy S9 +, on Verizon carrier. I had a problem getting both of these to work on my phone. My husband was born in a small town in Illinois that is the same as the town in England; it kept wanting to pick the city in England on both apps. I then tried them on my Kindle Fire and my Lenovo TV – X103F. On both of those, the apps worked perfectly. So, you may have a little bit of an issue every once in a while using the phone.

Ms. Fenton picked up seven different famous people to show their natal charts. Two of them are notorious British gangsters. They are in fact twins; she wanted to show the similarities and differences in astrology when it comes to twins. I have to say it was exciting to read this. The other people that she picked are like Jimi Hendrix (the musician), JFK, the President of the United States, Tom Hanks (the actor), and a couple of others. She picked these people and their natal charts for different demonstrations in how to bring the chart together.

The way Ms. Fenton has this laid out, it makes sense without being overly technical. And I have to say it made it an easy read, compared to some of the other books. So, if you’re looking for something that short, concise, and to the point, I would suggest starting with this book in learning your first steps to astrology. I found it very enjoyable.

Uranus Comes to Taurus: Radical Change Meets Immovable Object

MAY 2018 – April 2026

Buckle up! Uranus, the Changemaker, the Awakener, the Great Liberator, arrived in Taurus right after the New Moon on May 15th. It will be in the Bull’s sign (with short forays into Aries and Gemini) for 7 years, until it enters Gemini in April 2026.

It brings with it the legacy of its transit through Aries, which began in 2011. Think back to the Occupy movement, the Arab Spring, the removal of many barriers to same sex marriage, the sudden breakdown of the structures of silence around sexual abuse and harassment in the halls of corporate life, and public questioning of binary gender identity labels. Aries is the sign of the individual and self-identity, and is associated with the planet Mars, who can be an out of control warrior, or a force against injustice. And Uranus got our attention and began to move perceptions and ideas that seemed set in stone until its energy arrived on the scene.

Uranus’ transit into Taurus occurs 84 years after its last visit to this sign, from 1934 to 1942, and is the next spiral in humanity’s journey as filtered through the Taurean energy. The Sign of the Bull holds our values, our resources, and what comes from the Earth. It tends them so they can root and grow to full harvest. Taurus is Fixed Earth, stable, patient – changing over eons – an evolutionary being, not a revolutionary one. It keeps going in the face of formidable odds. In its shadow, it is intransigent, dug in, and unwilling to move, even when movement is necessary. Taurus also rules money, spending, finances; it is the symbol of Wall Street! Venus, Taurus’ ruling planet, speaks to abundance and fertility related to the gifts of Earth – all the beauty and bounty that occurs around us. She evokes the Goddess as Gaia. Uranus is the Tower card, the lightning bolt, immediate change for its own sake – creative chaos out of which something new coalesces. It loves revolution just because it shakes up the old order and forces us to confront what we don’t want to look at or are afraid to see. When Uranus visits Taurus, we expect seismic change in the Taurean areas of influence.

We can get an idea of what to expect from this Uranus transit by looking back at its last journey through Taurus. As a result of the 1929 stock market crash and the ensuing Great Depression, millions were jobless, homeless and starving. Social safety nets like Social Security were created and banking and investment regulations put into place to prevent a recurrence of conditions that led to the crash. Infrastructure jobs created by the government-established WPA resulted in new buildings, roads, power sources and parks. The WPA also employed visual artists and writers to create works for public consumption. The Dust Bowl, caused by drought and unsustainable land use practices, resulted in mass population movement and new approaches to farming and food security. Food rationing and Victory Gardens on the home front during World War II were other manifestations of Uranian energy in Taurus’ realm. Technology like telephones and radio began to be mass produced. Charga-plate, an early form of department store credit card, was developed and came into broad use.

One of the shadow sides of that transit involved the flourishing of economic and political conditions that led to World War II: economic penalties imposed after World War I, questions of boundaries, annexation of land, and people’s right to exist. Appeasement – the failure of people and nations to speak truth to power – also played a role. Uranus in Taurus during this time period was a singular clarion call for humanity to examine what it values and how to rightfully use and respect life and resources.

And we will hear that clarion call again during the current transit. We are seeing debate about the value of social safety nets like Social Security and Medicaid. Just last week there were news accounts of eminent funding issues with Medicare and Social Security and what changes will be necessary to preserve these programs. Medical care itself may undergo widespread change – think medical marijuana vs. heavy opioid prescribing and widespread use of the body’s own defenses and immunities to treat disease. Continued climate change may result in mass population movements and create greater lack of food security. Stronger storms, more “100-year events” and eruptions and tectonic shifts are on the Uranus in Taurus menu. We will see more issues surrounding natural resources and people’s rights, particularly around water, as we have seen recently in Flint, Michigan and Capetown, South Africa, where water is rationed and people are fined for exceeding quotas. We can expect radical changes in banking and currency – crypto or other digital currency! There will be changes in farming and land management technology; keep an eye on the Bayer-Monsanto mega merger, approved by the U.S. Department of Justice on May 29th. (And remember the 1970’s TV commercial “It’s Not Nice to Fool Mother Nature!”) We will continue to see debate around gender identity. Rising pressure on social and cultural norms from women speaking out and running for office will shift ideas around privilege, ownership and hierarchy; remember that Aphrodite was born after Gaia was betrayed by Uranus! All of us will be asked to examine what we value on a personal, societal, and spiritual level and to speak truth to power.

Uranus’s move through Taurus is terrifying and exciting at the same time. To synchronize with the energy of this transit, I am focused on sustainability, sourcing more of the food I eat locally, and growing and preserving fruits and vegetables from my garden and the farmers’ market. Know the source of your food and support local farmers where you can. Respect water as a limited resource; there are rainwater collection barrels in my garden. I am working with a lodestone to stabilize my tangible resources and to attract exactly what I need, no more and no less. I practice deep gratitude for Gaia’s gifts – sunlight, sky, stars, trees and all of the life forms here on the planet. I have an emergency kit with food and water to be ready should a natural or man-made disaster strike. I regularly donate resources to organizations that work with local and international disasters. To align with Uranus’ energy of liberation and let the Taurean energy be one of flow rather than stagnation, I am releasing “stuff” that I no longer use or need so that it may find value and purpose somewhere else. That includes expectations and old understandings and beliefs about how ownership, privilege, culture and the social order work. And I am carefully tending what is useful and beautiful, including my physical wellbeing. I am inviting in resilience, opportunity, cooperation and the trickster energy of playing with whatever shows up. When the Bull and Uranus work together, they create an unstoppable force, focused on what we hold dear and the resources that sustain life. Taurus teaches that we must prepare the ground and do the long term tending work needed to create change that will take root and flourish. We are being called to learn how to be resourceful, to share what we have, and to value Earth and each other. This transit will be a wild ride; roll with it but hold tight to your deepest values!

Lunar Magick: Part Two

A Little Astrology

This is the second of a series of articles that explores our connection to the Moon and how to use HER energy for magick and spiritual growth….

So What’s Astrology Got To Do With It?

One of the important considerations when doing lunar magick is maximizing the effects of the working through use of the most beneficial astrological sign that your Full or New Moon is transiting through. Each of the astrological signs is identified by two basic qualities: the element (Earth, Air, Fire or Water) to which it resonates and the quality of that particular element (Cardinal, Fixed or Mutable) called the Modalities.

Below is a basic table that outlines the basic qualities of the astrological signs:

The Elements of the Astrological Signs

One way to approach deciding what the components of a working should include is to be sure to select something that aligns with each of the four basic elements. We work so closely with the elements in Wiccan practice that this is yet another way to integrate those energies into our magickal and mundane worlds.

Keywords: The Elements

Earth=Manifestation/Physical Plane

Keywords:   The Modalities

As you can surmise…

It All Comes Together with Past Lessons and Teachings:

You can use these as a guideline for planning what workings would be supportive of the element of the astrological sign the moon is in.

EAST – Mind

Those practices that utilize your intelligence, that move to inspire and make use of air.

Reading and Breath Work

SOUTH – Will/Action

Those practices that fiery up your passions, make you move and stimulate you to take action  and make use of fire.

Exercise, Dancing and Creating

WEST – Emotional/Intuitive

Those practices that utilize your feeling nature, that open the intuitive nature and make use of water.

Journaling and divination

NORTH – Physical

Those practices that utilize your physical energy and/or make you move and make use of manifest reality.

Movement, Drumming and Hand crafts

The list is endless and the combinations of work are only limited by your own creativity. Review the lessons about the elements and their energies. Remain open to the many possibilities and allow your inner guidance to direct you towards a practice that will be reflective and in resonance with your magickal self.

The Modalities of the Astrological Signs

The Modalities of Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable map closely in their dynamics to that of the waxing, peak and waning of the moon. The Cardinal qualities are those of initiating whatever they are exerting their energy upon. The Fixed signs are stable and the product of the initial burst of movement to a place of permanence and center point.  And, the Mutable signs are those that are flexible in nature. Their movement is that of having come from a stable center point to a place of stretching towards endings, completion and anticipation of the next phase of new catalytic action.

Below is a basic table that outlines the modalities of the astrological signs:

The Cardinal Signs

Aries – Cancer – Libra – Capricorn

The Cardinal signs of the Zodiac offer an energy that is initiating and growing in nature. This is the initial thrust of energy that moves  in accord with the bursting forth of the energies that surround. We see this in the inquisitive nature of Aries, the healing intuitive nature of Cancer, the equalizing balance of Libra and the solid expansive range of Capricorn. Cardinal signs are those best used when you want an added boost to kick-start your endeavor, a fresh perspective and energy to put into motion your hopes, desires and dreams.

The Fixed Signs

Taurus – Leo – Scorpio and Aquarius

The Fixed signs of the Zodiac offer an energy that is strong, reinforcing and consistent in nature. This energy forms the container that stabilizes the initial outpour of the Cardinal signs. It coalesces and brings this burst of energetic force into a state of form and cohesion. Permanence and resilience are native to this modality with the ability to transform and remake into something innovative and different. We see this in the steadfast nature of Taurus, the fierce protective nature of Leo, the transformative powers of Scorpio and the far reaching vision of Aquarius. Fixed signs are those best used when you want to strengthen and transform your workings seeing far into the future.

** It is worth noting that the Four Fixed Signs of the Zodiac are the astrological attributes of the Four Holy Creatures.

Taurus is the winged Bull- earth

Scorpio is the Eagle – Water

Leo is the Winged Lion – Fire

Aquarius is the Winged Man- Air

The addition of wings to these creatures represents the elements of nature and man in their highest form and the aspirations and achievement of spiritual purpose having transcended the lower planes.

The Mutable Signs

Gemini – Virgo  – Sagittarius – Pisces

The Mutable signs of the Zodiac offer an energy that is fluid and adaptable in nature.  Unlike the initial thrust of the Cardinal signs and the solid stance of the Fixed signs, those of the mutable energy move in accord with the ebb and flow of the energies that surround. We see this in the quicksilver duality of Gemini, the analytical nature of Virgo, the exploratory sparks of Sagittarius and the fluid emotions of Pisces. Mutable signs are those best used when you wish a certain amount of flexibility in outcome, with room to rethink, remold and reinvent.

How does this apply in planning a Lunar working?

The Moon is New in Capricorn.  So how can you use the energy of this New Moon (New Moon= new beginnings- starting projects, goals, planting, seeding, etc…) in the Cardinal (becoming/initiating) Earthy (manifest/physical foundation) sign of Capricorn.

The New Moon in Capricorn is a good time to start that project which has been on your mind for sometime now, but procrastination has won out.  Diligence and hard work will bring the necessary steps towards scaling those high ambitions for manifest and material return.  Capricorn energy is the foundation of earthly delights having been attempted from all possible angles until just the right place of passage is found. Because it is a cardinal sign there is potential for tangible results, but the energy is often slow to start and sheer determination is what will win out.

So, with all this enhanced energy in earthy Capricorn- the sea goat- set your sights on the highest peak of the mountain, but first stabilize and anchor yourself in the foundation of digging deep into your watery, emotional roots and then set foot on the path, sure, steady and strong.

Venus still Retro in Leo– 14 degrees

Tuesday, September 1, 201512:01 am EDT

Goes Direct on Saturday, September 5, 20156:17 pm EDT

The Planet of love and adoration is still going against the grain preparing to trek across the face of the Sun. Affections at this time still seem to be awry in family-oriented Leo. Not to worry, though. Venus is strong-willed and has the capacity to overcome this obstacle. She allows her love and affection to come and go as needed or wanted, sometimes to a fault.

Uranus still Retro in Aries – 19 degrees

Tuesday, September 1, 201512:01 am EDT

Goes Direct on Friday, December 25, 20154:12 pm EST

Uranus is that Planet that hates to be confined. It is known as the “break out” Planet for that reason. When retrograde, Uranus can be responsible, more traditional and relaxed, but it feels bound by the obstacles surrounding it. As Uranus goes retrograde in Aries, there is a feeling of enthusiasm and courage to take responsibility. It is not a time to worry about what others think about you. Do your own thing at your own pace and life will be grand.

Neptune still Retro in Pisces – 8 degrees

Tuesday, September 1, 201512:01 pm EDT

Goes Direct on Thursday, Nov 19, 201512:39 am EST

The “Pink Fog Machine” normally keeps us from seeing the truth clearly, because Neptuneaskews our vision. When retrograde, Neptune can see things more clearly, like the fog has been lifted, for a short time. It helps you to understand the higher concepts of beauty, love and spirituality.

Pluto still Retrograde in Capricorn – 13 degrees

Tuesday, September 1, 201512:01 am EDT

Goes Direct on Friday, September 25, 20153:00 am EDT

Pluto resonates with mystery and transformation. While it is Retrograde, the energies become more stagnating, unchanging and powerless. When Pluto is Retrograde, mysteries and secrets are difficult to keep and sometimes are leaked to the world.

Labor Day

Monday, September 6, 201512:01 am EDT (Midnight)

Kick off your shoes and pad around barefoot on the last holiday of Summer!! As a day of rest from Labor, we look at the House of Employment, the 10th House. Neptune and Chiron, both retrograde, share space at the onset of the day bringing an energy of awareness and egotistical self-sacrifice. Enacted into law in 1894, Grover Cleveland was filled with unfounded trepidation. Today, it marks the symbolic end of Summer. Schools begin their new school year depending on the region. It is also the official ending to wear white pants. As the evening winds down, take time to settle in for a nice relaxing evening. It’s a short work-week, so enjoy a moment of peace and quiet after the long weekend.

Venus goes direct in Leo – 14 degrees

Saturday, September 5, 20156:17 pm EDT

The Planet of love and devotion stations and goes direct at the beginning of the month. Where she was more relaxed and easy going, Venus will now get back on track to her usual family-oriented self. Be ready for her affections of pride and pleasure. Expect a little more pillow talk afterwards while Venus rides out the last half of Leo.

9/11 – Patriot Day

Friday, September 11, 201500:01 am EDT

As we look upon this day in history, we remember the victims of the Towers in New York City in 2001 as well as at the Pentagon in Arlington County, VA and in Shanksville, PA. We honor the fallen heroes that rushed to save innocent lives. As a nation we strive to secure our borders against unknown enemies that threaten our way of life and our freedom. The Planets are lined up as evenly as possible to energize every nook and cranny for our Hearths and Homes. On this day, be mindful of your own well-being, be gentle with others and support your loyalties.

Eclipsed New Moon in Virgo – 20 degrees

Sunday, September 13, 20152:40 am EDT

Emotional energy seems displaced and chaotic, but truthfully, it is always where you put it. And you know exactly where that is. The motherly instincts that you adhere to the most seem to be lost in confusion. However, when the clouds clear, you begin to shine in the magnificent glow of your truth. Nobody ever realizes the depths of your being until they watch and learn from you.

Mercury goes Retrograde in Libra – 15 degrees

Thursday, September 17 – 6:27 pm EDT

When Mercury goes Retro, Communications are weighed heavily against all odds. When you speak, you try to find balance in your words that will neither negate nor accent a subject. It is all about finding the truth in the matter and analyzing it for an honorable result. Be sure to weigh your words heavily or you may find your proverbial foot in mouth too often.

Saturn enters Sagittarius

Friday, September 18, 201512:11 am EDT

The Planet of Caution and Pessimism hangs out in an optimistic Sign, which has a way of saying things that aren’t appropriate. The energy is mentally combative within and sometimes comes out garbled. One will want to say what’s on their minds, but it will come out with negative charm.

Pluto goes direct in Capricorn – 12 degrees

Friday, September 25, 20153:00 am EDT

Transformations seem to be heading in the right direction finally as Pluto sits in Capricorn. We remain cautious with our minor endeavors to bring change in our lives, especially when it comes to saving money and becoming more frugal. If you are planning to make an investment, do your research to find proof against it; you may find more reasons to invest in it than not.

Mars enters Virgo

Thursday, September 24, 20159:34 pm EDT

The last time Mars entered Virgo in October 2013, it hung out for about 2 months and then it seemed to run thru the rest of the Planets. Mars has no significance for the Sign, but when it slips thru the gates, the energy of action becomes more precise. You might feel impulsive about impeccability, but take your time, if you want perfection. You may want to change your mind midstream and make minor adjustments to your plan.

Eclipsed Full Moon in Aries – 4 degrees

Sunday, September 28, 201510:50 pm EDT

The Moon builds up energy and finally comes to fruition with robust energy when it is Full. If you had begun anything special at the New Moon, you should see a significant end result upon this Full Moon. Emotionally, the Moon generally helps to create an inner power or Ki that will grow and manifest with enthusiasm and passion. This is a time to challenge yourself and overcome the oddest of struggles. When eclipsed, this energy can sometimes hide itself to reveal itself later at the most inopportune time.

Native Lore

The Full Moon in September is also known as the Harvest Moon, because many farmers are still bringing in the harvests of the final season. Oftentimes, they work well into the evening hours and then, when the Moon is Full, they have the ability to work under its beaming light. Many of the crops that are brought in are grains and corns. Thus, the Full Moon of September is also aptly named the Grain Moon or Corn Moon as well. Apples, Pears and other fruits are usually in season at this time, so the Full Moon has an additional name of Fruit Moon.

Besides the Moon, nothing conjuncts the Sun in September 2015.

Astro Report for April 2015

April, 2015

Saturn still Retro in Sagittarius – 4 degrees

Wednesday, April 1, 201512:01 am EST

Goes Direct on Sunday, August 2, 20154:55 am EDT

The Planet of caution takes a break from its conservative ways. When it goes retrograde, the Planet actually lightens up on the reins a bit. It allows people to explore further than they normally would. Sagittarius allows it to open its mouth and to say things out of control. It’s time to make sure the brain is engaged before the mouth blurts away. Saturn goes Direct again in August.

April Fools Day – Sun in Aries – 11 degrees

Wednesday, April 1, 201512:01 am EDT

April Fool’s Day or All Fool’s Day is accepted worldwide on or about April 1st as part of the old Roman holiday celebrating the Goddess, Hilaria. It is a day of fun and joking around. Folks pull pranks and practical jokes upon each other. From the old days, a paper fish could be smacked upon your back and the utterance “April Fish!” would be chimed by all. Today, there are many practical jokes played upon the computer. Stick a piece of tape under the mouse and watch what happens to the next person trying to navigate the computer.

Wedge Configuration

Wednesday, April 1, 201512:01 am EDT

There are three Planets in alignment creating a weak Wedge formation. It has the ability to augment Psychic abilities where you can communicate with the Spiritual Realm. The point of the Wedge is Retrograde Jupiter, which could make proclamations that aren’t true. Senses are askew so talking to Spirits on the Otherside might seem valid, but they aren’t. Jupiter is Quincunx Pluto and Chiron. Jupiter as the faster Planet needs to re-align its energies with Pluto, a Planet of transformation and change. Chiron needs to adjust itself accordingly to Jupiter, though. Chiron is the martyr; it will sacrifice something to learn. Chiron is also sextile to Pluto, which gets the two Planets to support each other. Sacrificing something to learn is supported by change and transformation while Retro Jupiter expands on its generosity too much. Be careful to stay living within your means to gain knowledge and skill during this loose Wedge.

Full Moon in Libra – 14 degrees

Saturday, April 4, 20158:05 am EDT

When the emotional Moon is in fruition in the air Sign of Libra, you can expect to be intellectually adaptive, impractical and superficial. It’s like you know how to cut corners and bend the rules when your heartstrings are being played. You have the advantage though. Avoid going to extremes and playing the Devil’s advocate. Find balance in any relationship.

Native Lore

The Full Moons of April are called the Grass Moon, The Egg Moon and the Fish Moon. April is a month of spring, obviously. The Earth begins to fully awaken and the grass begins to grow stronger. Woodland animals creep and crawl out of their holes to begin munching on the fresh fronds of Spring. It is a month when birds begin to lay eggs in abundance. The Fish begin to swim upstream to maintain their species. For natives, food would become more abundant in April during the Egg and Fish Moon.

Easter Sunday/Resurrection Day

Sun in Aries – 15 degrees

Sunday, April 5, 20156:50 am EDT (sunrise)

This year, the holiday known as Easter falls on Sunday, April 4th, but why does it land on a different day every year? To answer this profound question we have to search the skies to find the Moon in its travels. Easter Sunday is based on the astronomy of the Moon’s cycles. It is always on the first Sunday after the first Full Moon after the first New Moon after the Spring Equinox. Look at your calendars. Find the Spring Equinox, find the first New Moon and then the next Full Moon thereafter and you will find Easter on the following Sunday. Mardi Gras (Shrove Tuesday) followed by the period of Lent (starting on Ash Wednesday), Passover and Good Friday are also based on the Moon’s cycle.

The history of Easter stems from Pagan roots, of course. There are many Goddesses that are revered during the Spring Equinox, namely Eostre of Nordic Lore, Ostara of Germanic Myth and Ishtar of Akkadian/Babylonian legend. The Goddesses’ names are all correctly pronounced “Easter” apparently…

Jupiter goes Direct in Leo – 12 degrees

Tuesday, April 7, 20158:08 am EDT

The grandiose Planet of blowing things out of proportion can erupt ill feelings at home, if you’re not careful. Family matters most in your life, so take care to enjoy the time you have. Find time and energy to have fun.

Mercury Conjuncts Sun in Aries – 19 degrees

Thursday, April 9, 201511:33 pm EDT

Mercury has disappeared behind the lime-light of the solar glare. Communications can be quite boisterous about yourself, whether by the ego in you or by the boast of your family and friends. Always accept the gratitude you deserve with dignity and pride. Avoid the egotism that could prevail – be humble. You have the ability to charm others, but be honest with yourself and to those around you.

Venus enters Gemini

Saturday, April 11, 201511:15 am EDT

Venus takes on a chatty conversation about love and lust. Venus becomes a little more hedonistic in her approach to this point. She finds it easy to be as versatile as she’s used to being. Venus energy becomes more energized and alluring. Affections and devotions will be as forthcoming as normal and especially as she crosses through her ruling Sign of Taurus.

Tax Day

Wednesday, April 15, 201512:01 am EDT

8th House Events

Cusp in Libra – 6 degrees

The onset of the day is already in balance. Libra attempts to find balance in everything. However, it also has the ability to play the Devil’s Advocate and go to extremes in finding balance.

Pars Fortunae (Part of Fortune) in Libra – 26 degrees

The luckiest point in the chart’s moment finds itself in the House of Sex, Death and Transformation… go figure! Perhaps this will be a lucky day for you on Tax Day too.

The North Node tells us where we need to hone our talents and skills. If you are about to do something that needs precision, practice before you indulge.

Mercury enters Taurus

Tuesday, April 14, 20156:39 pm EDT

Communications could come to a standstill. Be gentle and caring with your words otherwise, you may find yourself snorting in anger with the Bull! Although quick and friendly, Mercury finds itself tip-toeing thru the pasture of the bull. As long as you are cautious about what you say, you will find yourself in the comfort zone of a raging potential.

Pluto goes Retrograde in Capricorn – 15 degrees

Friday, April 17, 20157:47 am EDT

Pluto resonates with mystery and transformation. As it begins to station, those traits tend to exceed its boundaries and Pluto can be desecrating, annihilating and obsessive. After it goes Retrograde, the energies become more stagnating, unchanging and powerless. When Pluto is Retrograde, mysteries and secrets are difficult to keep and sometimes are leaked to the world.

New Moon in Aries – 28 degrees

Saturday, April 18, 20152:56 pm EDT

The New Moon in Aries brings about new changes to our personal mindset and how we approach things emotionally. There is new internal growth – the ability to “rise above”. When you are met with an emotional Challenge, you will have the ability to see it from a different aspect and deal with the situation better.

Sun enters Taurus – Happy Birthday, Taurus!!

Monday, April 20, 20155:30 am EDT

As the Sun enters Taurus, an overwhelming energy of comfort and tranquility surrounds us. Find your niche and settle in. Take time to smell the flowers. Find time to organize your thoughts and energy. Folks born under the Sign of Taurus tend to be gentle and mild mannered folk. However, they do like their routines. To take them out of their natural groove, could spell chaos and confusion for them or the person instigating the change.

Earth Day – Sun in Taurus – 1 degree

Tuesday, April 22, 201512:01 am EDT

Earth Day (aka International Mother Earth Day) is celebrated by a multitude of countries world-wide. It was initiated by John McConnell in 1969 for the first day of Spring. Its popularity encouraged a US Senator to host another Earth Day in Americaon April 22nd in 1970, where it has grown exponentially. The day was created to promote an environmental teach-in to expose people to the devastation of the oil spill in Santa Barbarain 1969. The day is meant to demonstrate political support for an environmental agenda. Earth Day will encourage us to be conservative and passive. The question, “What is your Carbon Footprint?” will sound very odd, but it means to gauge how much you do on a normal day and how does it affect the environment at large?

Astro Report for March 2015

March, 2015

Jupiter still Retrograde in Leo – 14 degrees

Sunday, March 1, 201512:01 am EST

Goes Direct on Tuesday, April 7, 20158:08 am EDT

When the grandiose Planet of blowing things out of proportion is Retrograde, the ability to erupt ill feelings at home can still be potential, if you’re not careful. Family matters most in life, so take care to enjoy the time you have. Find time and energy to have fun. Avoid the pessimism that can occur during Jupiter’s Retrograde.

Unique Bucket formation

Monday, March 2, 201511:51 pm EST

A Bucket formation is generally when all the Planets are on one side of the chart with a single Planet acting as a handle. Today’s unique Bucket formation actually has two Planets conjuncting each other as the handle, namely Retrograde Jupiter and the Moon. To understand the formation, we look at the handle to see how its importance relates to the other Planets. While Jupiter is Retrograde, we have to examine its energy at play. Jupiter is allowing home life to blow things out of proportion. The Moon adds its emotional support to this affect. It is pushing towards Full Moon so emotions have a way of stirring to the point of reaching a peak. The other Planets are trying to stay low and not got involved. However, Mercury’s opposition of the Saturn/Moon conjunction has to express itself.

Full Moon in Virgo – 14 degrees

Thursday, March 5, 20151:04 pm EST

Full Moon energies can be so compulsive!! And this is the time of the year when a Full Moon shining upon the land grants a glimpse of the starkness the Winter offers. When the Moon is Full in Virgo, our emotions have to be right on target and not erratic. At New Moon, it was time for personal discovery. By the time we got to Full Moon, did you discover anything about your emotional self?

Native Lore

The Full Moon names are aplenty this month. The Crow Moon, the Crust Moon, the Sap Moon and the Worm Moon are some of the given names. Crows start their mating season at this time of year, so their caws are heard quite pronounced. It bellows the end of winter. Crows and Owls are typically enemies. So while one species sleeps, the other is scavenging for food. It is rare to see Crows and Owls at the same time.

The Full Crust Moon is given due to the nature of snow melting and thawing – it forms a light crust and it crunches under foot when animals or hunters walk upon it. It is very difficult to sneak upon your prey.

Tapping the trees for Maple Syrup is at a peak during the month of March. The best saps run at this time of year. Due to the high sugary content, the sap is quite fluid. After it is boiled down to about 1/3 of its viscosity, Maple Syrup is canned and labeled for sale.

As temperatures begin to warm up, the ground begins to thaw and the worms come out of hibernation. They become fodder for the Robins, which is a tell-tale sign of Spring!!

Day Light Savings

2nd Sunday: change clocks an hour ahead from 2 am to3 am

Sunday, March 8, 20152:00 am EST

Sun in Pisces – 17 degrees

It’s that time of year when clocks move forward an hour to instill Daylight Savings Time, which the Energy Policy Act of 2005 enacted. As an Astrology Student and Teacher, I feel it is necessary to remind folks as the time gets closer, so it doesn’t surprise you the following Monday morning when you arrive to work an hour too late. SMILE

You will LOSE an hour of sleep… Share this among your family and friends.

The current general rule of Daylight Savings Time is:

Start –

Second Sunday in March to change clocks an hour ahead and lose an hour of sleep…

End –

First Sunday in November to change clocks an hour back and gain an hour of sleep…

Time –

2 am local time

Though mentioned by Benjamin Franklin in 1784, the modern idea of daylight savings was first proposed in 1895 by George Vernon Hudson and it was first implemented during World War I. Many countries have used it at various times since then.

The practice has been both praised and criticized. Adding daylight to evenings benefits retailing, sports and other activities that exploit sunlight after working hours, but can cause problems for evening entertainment and other occupations tied to the Sun. Its effect on health and crime is less clear. Although an early goal of DST was to reduce the evening usage of incandescent lighting, formerly a primary use of electricity. Today, modern heating and cooling usage patterns differ greatly and research about how DST currently affects energy use is limited or contradictory.

Pi Day – Midnight

Saturday, March 14, 2015 (3/14) – Midnight EDT

Pi is the symbol used in mathematics to represent the constant ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter – 3.14. Although it’s an irrational and transcendental number, it can be calculated to its infinite sum. However, only a handful of numbers is needed for intricate calculations. Today marks a special holiday, when, world-wide, folks celebrate the mathematical constant. People even enjoy eating Pi Pie and celebrate Albert Einstein’s birthday.

Mercury enters Pisces

Thursday, Mar 12, 201510:40 pm EDT

The Planet of Communication will move into the mutable, water Sign of Pisces. Get ready to speak from the heart. Intuitions will play a big role in expressing what you feel. Many of your conversations may be profoundly controversial, but hardly combative. The direction is more towards analytical mystery than blunt or superficial expressions.

Saturn goes Retro in Sagittarius – 4 degrees

Friday, March 13, 201511:16 pm EDT

The Planet of caution takes a break from its conservative ways. When it goes retrograde, the Planet actually lightens up on the reins a bit. It allows people to explore further than they normally would. Sagittarius allows it to open its mouth and to say things out of control. It’s time to make sure the brain is engaged before the mouth blurts away.

Ides of March – sunrise

Sunday, March 15, 20157:24 am EDT

The Ides of March are always on the 15th – the same with June, September and December. In all other months, the Ides fall on the 13th. To the Romans, the Ides marked a division between the first half of the month to the second half of the month and it was considered an unlucky day. Originally, it marked the date of the Full Moon, but that fell out sync right away when it was initiated. The famous date of March 15th marks the assassination and death of the Roman Emperor, Julius Caesar, in 44 BCE – talk about bad luck!

Venus enters Taurus

Tuesday, March 17, 20155:59 am EDT

Venus is coming home. The love and adoration that has seemed to be distant lately is finally entering its Rulership. Take your time to make amends and fit into your comfort levels. Find your groove and jump right in.

St Patrick’s Day – sunrise

Tuesday, March 17, 20157:21 am EDT

Saint Patrick’s Day [Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig (The Festival of

Patrick); Ulster-Scots: Saunt Petherick’s Day] is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated on 17 March. It commemorates Saint Patrick (c. AD 387–461), the most commonly recognized of the patron saints of Ireland, and the arrival of Christianity inIreland. It is observed by the Catholic Church, the Anglican Communion (especially the Church of Ireland), the Eastern Orthodox Church and Lutheran Church. Saint Patrick’s Day was made an official feast day in the early seventeenth century, and has gradually become a secular celebration of Irish culture in general.

The day is generally characterized by the attendance of church services, wearing of green attire and the lifting of Lenten restrictions on eating, and drinking alcohol, which is often proscribed during the rest of the season. St Patrick is said to have chased all the snakes from Ireland. This is a metaphor, where the snakes represented the heathen Healers of the land, namely witches. St Patrick was the representative of the Catholic Church and Christianity in general. As the Church began to take over the heathen traditions and lore, the snakes were chased from Ireland. However, history tells us they merely went underground.

Saint Patrick’s Day is a public holiday in the Republic of Ireland,Northern Ireland, Newfoundland and Labrador and inMontserrat. It is also widely celebrated by the Irish Diaspora, especially in places such as Great Britain, Canada, the United States, Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand, among others. Today, St. Patrick’s Day is probably the most widely celebrated Saint’s day in the world when folks will drink green beer.

New Moon in Pisces – 29 degrees

Friday, March 20, 20155:35 am EDT

Eclipsed Adhik Mas New

It’s not often that we get to see this unusual Moon today. First, it’s an eclipsed Moon, because it is just passing thru its North Node. The shadow of the Moon will shade us from the Sun momentarily just before the Sunrise. Eclipsed Moons tend to hide things in our lives – especially things that are emotional. Second, the New Moon is an Adhik Mas Moon, meaning that this is the second time that we have seen a New Moon in Pisces this year – one right after the other. The New Moon had just entered Pisces last month after the Sun entered Pisces. When we experience an Adhik Mas Moon, we get to reaffirm our emotions within that Sign once more… Relive and make amends, per se. It means the emotional Moon will travel thru Psychic Pisces with extra care and concern again. Take criticisms with a grain of salt. Folks do not intend to hurt feelings whether spoken verbally or hinted at.

Wheel of Year info – Ostara in Pisces – 29 degrees

Friday, March 20, 20157:16 am EDT (Sunrise)

Names: Vernal/Spring Equinox, Ostara, Eostar, Lady Day, Earrach, Alban Eilir, Festival of Trees, Gwyl Ganol y Gwanwyn (Welsh)

Date: approximately Mar 21st

Astro Correspondence: Sun enters Aries (first day of Spring)
Color: pastels

Food: pig/pork, egg entrees, breads, fish, fresh salad, honey, fruit juices, wine

Common Info: story of Persephone, Demeter and Hades, Story of Eostre and her bunnies and eggs, 2nd Fertility Fest, Watering the Flowers,

Alban Eiler (Ostara) is the first day of Spring in the northern hemisphere. The date is typically March 21st or when the Sun enters Aries. This is a time when the Goddess gives birth to the God. This was typically observed with bird watching, because most birds would begin to migrate back to their summer nests and began their mating seasons. There is a strong association to birds and eggs. This Gaelic Festival of the Mother Ishtar (properly pronounced like “Easter”) was symbolized with bunnies, chicks and decorated eggs. Sacred foods were generously sweetened with natural maple sugars or honey.

The christian holiday, Easter, is always held the first Sunday after the first Full Moon after the Spring Equinox, so it will be celebrated on Sunday, April 5th this year. It is being coined the term “Resurrection Day”, for the term Easter is of Pagan decent and has nothing to with the resurrection of the christian martyr, Jesus (aka Yuz Asaf).

Sun enters Aries – Happy Birthday Aries!!

Friday, March 20, 20156:33 pm EDT

The Sun is exalted in Aries. Time to take charge of your life again! The warrior aspect of the Sign allows you to take a firm control of your Path. Be assertive about your endeavors and avoid being aggressive. Competition can be fun in the spirit of the game, but avoid allowing it to take over your heart and mind.

No Planets go Direct in March 2015.

Astro Report for January 2015

January, 2015

Notable Holidays – New Year’s Day

Thursday, January 1, 201500:00:01 am EST

Sun in Capricorn – 10 degrees

Today is the day to make resolutions, right? And the most difficult thing is keeping your promises (to yourself). And as it happens, there is a Stellium of four Planets – the Sun, Pluto, Mercury and Venus in the 4th House of Hearth and Home. Where personality transforms with dedication and expression employs the talents you have already honed. You may question yourself whether you have mastered them enough or if you need to enhance them even further. Saturn might be able to help you with your self-disciplines… It has recently entered Sagittarius, so any changes you want will come because YOU want to make them and not for anybody else.

In simple terms, your decisions will be based on your personal quest to change. And you will make the right decision the first time, because you have made all considerations over the idea with conviction. Trust your instincts to make the right decision for those annual resolutions.

T-Square of Three Classical Planets

At the same time the Old Year turns over a new leaf, three classical Planets have already aligned to create a T-Square within three Fixed Signs. Mars in Aquarius sits opposite Retrograde Jupiter in Leo causing a confrontation of attitudes that can be actively confusing with unwarranted generosity. Challenged by the emotional Moon in conservative Taurus, it could lead to heated discussions and turmoil. It’s best to step away from any arguments, lest they burst into snorting allegations that are blown out of proportion.

Jupiter still Retrograde in Leo – 21 degrees

Thursday, January 1, 201512:01 am EST

When the grandiose Planet of blowing things out of proportion goes Retrograde, the ability to erupt ill feelings at home can still be potential, if you’re not careful. Family matters most in life, so take care to enjoy the time you have. Find time and energy to have fun. Avoid the pessimism that can occur during Jupiter’s Retrograde. Jupiter goes Direct on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 – 8:08 am EDT.

Venus enters Aquarius

Saturday, January 3, 20159:30 am EST

Venus moves right into Aquarius today. Affections and devotions of Venus tend to be more allowing of certain actions and demeanors. Venus will enjoy a bout of independence, whether that’s hedonistic charm or otherwise.

Sun conjuncts Pluto in Capricorn – 13 degrees

Saturday, January 3, 20156:20 pm EST

The Sun moves faster in the sky than Pluto does, so its effects aspect upon Pluto. The personality traits of the Sun can burden the transformational energies of Pluto. The ego can be stubborn when it comes to making adjustments and changes in one’s life. When we start looking at making resolutions for the coming New Year, we tend to fight the urge to make those changes for the better, but in fact it is our ego that stands in the way of progress. If you can step aside from the mundane and truly see what others see in you, you will be able to make the right changes in your life and transform into something that is beyond belief. The mystery of your life is within your mind alone. Harness the power of change and, behold, you will become enlightened.

Full Moon in Cancer – 14 degrees

Sunday, January 4, 201511:53 pm EST

Emotions can run high when the Moon is in its ruling House. Full Moon energies are just as devastating, too! So, here is a Full Moon in its ruling House of Cancer. Emotions will be running amok! It’s a Sunday – beginning of the week – folks will be ready for the new week to start. Kids start back to school for more edu-ma-cation. Time to buckle down and hit the books! But keep it safe…

Native Lore

The Algonquian’s Wolf Moon is a lone Moon. The Wolf tends to come out of its den and seek food for sustenance throughout the winter, but the Full Moon in January can show off a blanket of snow on the ground, making it rather difficult to find food. The lonely Wolf bays at the Full Moon to express his feelings for hunger and for the illuminating Moon on the snow. The Wolf Moon tends to have more howling wolves than any other.

The Old Moon shows how dark and still the nights can be during the winter months. With nary a soul to share the blistering cold, the Moon shines above with a light that beckons, but folks and animals alike stay sheltered against the bitter cold. So, the Full Moon shines high above like an old man of the sky – like an Old Moon.

Mercury enters Aquarius

Sunday, January 4, 20157:56 pm EST

Mercury is quite compatible with this Air Sign as it becomes accidentally dignified in the 6th House. You may find yourself with original thoughts and abstract ideas, because they seem more profound at this time. Try to write down your ideas and go with the flow to be yourself. If you have been working on a project, you may find yourself on the verge of finishing it. It will be quite easy to break out of that mental block you had been in. While conjuring ideas of saving the Earth, have a cup of Earl Grey tea and enjoy a moment of peace and quiet. Maybe you will find more inspiration…

Mars enters Pisces

Monday, January 12, 20155:13 am EST

The Planet of Action enters a Sign that would rather take a backseat to any action. Thus, Mars is willing to except a moment of solitude and serenity. It’s a time to be lax and take a brief break. While there is composure, there is mystery and mysticism. Don’t be afraid to consider taking action later as Mars enters its ruling Sign, Aries, next month.

Sun enters Aquarius – Happy Birthday, Aquarius!!

Tuesday, January 20, 20154:32 am EST

Are you ready to get past those mental blocks? The Sun will boost you past those issues and then some. You will find today to be one of those days where you will be able to conquer any mental block. Creativity and intellectual acuity and lucidity will abound! Personalities are honed when the Sun sits in Aquarius.

New Moon in Aquarius – 0 degrees

Tuesday, January 20, 20158:13 am EST

Aquarius is the most intellectual Sign of the Zodiac. When the Moon is new, it’s time to re-evaluate your emotions and re-discover something new. Take an analytical approach to your emotions. Figure out why you react to certain situations and then re-organize your thoughts and emotions accordingly. This is a time of personal discovery.

Mercury goes Retrograde in Aquarius – 17 degrees

Wednesday, January 21, 20153:11 pm EST

Goes Direct Wednesday, Feb 11, 20152:12 pm EST

Be prepared for communications to go awry. Back up your computers, verify your writings and think about what you’re going to say before you utter a word. As a Planet of communications, Mercury’s role can elicit free-flowing words of wisdom. However, make it Retrograde and you might find that proverbial foot in your mouth more often than not. You might find computer glitches and down-time as commonplace during a Mercury Retrograde. At work, bring a book to read while you wait for the computer geeks to reboot the computer systems. As a minor Planet in health issues, it is best to watch your diet, drink plenty of water and wash your hands often. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure when Mercury slides across the face of the Sun.

Venus enters Pisces
