Midsummer Ritual Lore: It is said that during Midsummer the God aspect of Divinity is at its highest power. If we’re speaking astrologically this is also true; Midsummer marks the longest day and shortest night of the year. Midsummer or Litha falls on June 21 when the noon sun is farthest away from the celestial equator. Solstice is Latin for “sun stands still” and so it is rightfully named. It is also believed that the veil between the worlds is thin on the night of fair Midsummer. It is not uncommon to attract several energies toward your circle and magic on the night of Midsummer. It is also seen as…

Bring The Light Ritual Lore: Several myths surround the Winter Solstice commonly known as Yule among these:  lighting the yule log and the Oak and Holly King. At Yule’s core is the idea of returning sacred light. Of a child of light that is born out of darkness that vanquishes the cold blanket of death that covers the Earth. Ritual:  Solitary vs. Group It is important to find balance in our lives, and in our practice. It doesn’t really matter what sect or tradition you come from there will be times when you will have to do a working alone, and times when you can work within a group. Both experiences are very different experiences that advise everyone to partake in. Coming from a small (VERY) small eastern Texas town I found it very difficult to find like-minded individuals that were actually serious about Witchcraft. Wicca and Witchcraft, both, have been very integral parts of my life, and I always found it extremely disheartening to meet a new Witch…

Start Fresh Ritual Samhain is among many things a perfect time to commune with your ancestors, your spirits animals, any deities that you keep close to your spirit. I’ve adapted this ritual to include one of my Patron Deities: Ganesh. Lore: Ganesh became lord of all existing beings after winning a contest against his brother Kartikay. When given the task to race…

Les Flammes Dedans Les Flammes Dedans translates into English as The Flames Within it is my experience that as I, and the world get colder I have an almost insatiable urge to sleep. Getting out of bed becomes harder and harder as we approach the winter solstice. As everything appears to be suspended in transition we as humans along with the other inhabitants of our blue-green planet are forced to work and watch the Earth slumber. I being of a slightly artistic background, and I do say artistic very lackadaisically, I hate being in a winter block where I feel as if I can’t bring fourth creation. I hope this…
