June brings Litha, the summer solstice <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u2013 <\/span><\/span><\/span>the day with the most sunlight. This craft will allow you to keep some of it for other times.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Gather together glitter, confetti and any similar material <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u2013 <\/span><\/span><\/span>perhaps crushed yellow gemstones <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u2013 <\/span><\/span><\/span>and put it all in a clear jar or in a bowl. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Hold it up<\/span><\/span><\/span> to the first rays of the morning sun. Keep it in the sunlight for as long as you feel is necessary to absorb its essence, power, life force, joy and warmth. Perhaps even put it out again at noon and sunset.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then, divide your material into tiny bottle or jars and label them <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span>Sun Dust<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/span>with directions to <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/span><\/span><\/span>sprinkle as needed for light or warmth.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You can decorate the bottles by inserting a tiny screw eye hook into the top of the cork and attaching beads, charms and other trinkets <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u2013 <\/span><\/span><\/span>or hang it from a cord, ribbon or chain.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

If weather will prevent you from catching the rays on June 21, try for the 20th or the 22nd.
