In memory and honor of those whose lives were taken and in hopes that this country, and this world can begin to heal the hatreds that tear it apart, this month\u2019s Goddess column will be on just a few of the Healing Goddesses, whom I ask to please look kindly upon us all.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/paganpages.org\/emagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/goddess.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-11851\" src=\"https:\/\/paganpages.org\/emagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/goddess.jpg\" alt=\"goddess\" width=\"188\" height=\"269\" \/><\/a><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><strong>COVENTINA<\/strong> &#8211; The British Goddess of springs and wells, she was also a Goddess of abundance and inspiration. Her sacred well, located in Northumberland, is considered a sacred healing site.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/paganpages.org\/emagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/goddess1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-11852\" src=\"https:\/\/paganpages.org\/emagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/goddess1.jpg\" alt=\"goddess1\" width=\"193\" height=\"261\" \/><\/a><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><strong>ANAITA<\/strong> &#8211; While there is not much information on her, Anaita was an Italian Goddess of the Oscan tribe, a Goddess of witchcraft and healing. It is said that she is the originator of herbal charms.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/paganpages.org\/emagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/goddess2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-11865\" src=\"https:\/\/paganpages.org\/emagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/goddess2.jpg\" alt=\"goddess2\" width=\"259\" height=\"194\" \/><\/a><i><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><strong>AKESO<\/strong> &#8211; The daughter of Askelpios, the God of Medicine and Epione, the Goddess of Pain Relief, Akeso is the Greek Goddess of healing and curing, which is the meaning of her name.
