Two sisters in my coven \u2013 <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Lucida Grande', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Debra Cohen and Janet Coffa \u2013 <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Lucida Grande', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">wrote a ritual that more than a dozen women chose to <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Lucida Grande', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Lucida Grande', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">participate in at a Mabon retreat. I\u2019m sharing it below in the hopes that you will use it to enlist the support of others in this important effort. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>The protectors, the warriors at Standing Rock represent each and every one of us who understand the need to protect our environment, our multicultural values and the very Earth that supports us. <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>The statement <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"de-DE\"><i>\u201c<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Water is Life<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><i>\u201d <\/i><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>is true for every human being and it must be fought for by everyone. The fight must take many forms, from physical presence in places that are immediately threatened to communication with our government and education of those unaware of the impact of inaction.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>Standing Rock speaks about clean water, industry greed, <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial Unicode MS', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>governmental weakness, and the power of money that buys bad <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial Unicode MS', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"it-IT\"><i>decisions.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i> It also speaks with a vision of potential catastrophe when we fail to consider the future impact of current energy policy. We, our children and our grandchildren have a duty to stand in the face of <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial Unicode MS', serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>intimidation and say NO MORE, YOU SHALL NOT PASS and WE WILL NOT STOP FIGHTING for what is right, just and sacred.<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>[Invite participants to share their thoughts.]<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>As in everything, we all do what we can, as we can.
