This soup uses Cream of Potato soup. I\u2019m not even sure where I picked this can of soup up \u2013 it must have been Aldi\u2019s \u2013 because normally I would just make mashed potatoes and just add extra milk for a cream of potato soup. But I\u2019ve had this can in my cupboard for so long, I decided to use it in something. And yes! I did look at the date on the bottom of the can! <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"CENTER\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-13704\" src=\"https:\/\/paganpages.org\/emagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/cook1-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"cook1\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">You also need a bag of frozen \u201cCalifornia Mix\u201d of vegetables \u2013 broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. I confess that I didn\u2019t have a bag at the time and used fresh but it worked out the same. I think the cooking time might be a little less if you have frozen vegetables. Mine were still a little crunchy, but I like crunchy vegetables. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"CENTER\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-13706\" src=\"https:\/\/paganpages.org\/emagazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/cook2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"cook2\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\">\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><u><b><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">Super Easy California Cream Soup<\/span><\/b><\/u><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">\u00bc cup celery, chopped fine<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">\u00bc cup onion, chopped fine<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">1 teaspoon butter<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">Splash of olive oil<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">1 can cream of potato soup<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">1 can milk (use the empty can)<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">\u00bd cup white wine<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">1 cup Colby-jack cheese, grated<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">4 cups California Mix, steamed according to package directions<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"JUSTIFY\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', serif;\">Melt the butter with the splash of olive oil and saut\u00e9 the celery and onion in it until they are soft. You don\u2019t want them to get brown. Add the cream of potato soup and the milk. Serve garnished with more grated cheese and a piece of crusty bread.
