A poem based on a meditation and visualization\u00a0of Hekate, where she informed me I would make a choice, then walk through fire. She was not wrong, and it was more than worth it. This was written almost immediately upon returning from the meditative state.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

One is a source of distraction<\/span><\/p>\n

The other is a source of inspiration<\/span><\/p>\n

One wishes to see me grounded<\/span><\/p>\n

The other wonders how far I could fly<\/span><\/p>\n

Let me stand upon your shoulders<\/span><\/p>\n

Let me reach into the sky<\/span><\/p>\n

Then you can climb on mine<\/span><\/p>\n

And we’ll be reaching twice as high<\/span><\/p>\n

One is a source of frustration<\/span><\/p>\n

The other is a source of pure elation<\/span><\/p>\n

One wishes to see me simple<\/span><\/p>\n

The other revels in my complexity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let me open up the windows<\/span><\/p>\n

Let us breathe true life once more<\/span><\/p>\n

When finding walls around us<\/span><\/p>\n

We’ll be breaking down the door.<\/span><\/p>\n

So when standing at the crossroads<\/span><\/p>\n

Says the lady with two lights<\/span><\/p>\n

You can go the easy way<\/span><\/p>\n

With no worry and no fights<\/span><\/p>\n

But when standing at the crossroads<\/span><\/p>\n

Says the one with whip and knife<\/span><\/p>\n

Be sure you’re moving for yourself:<\/span><\/p>\n

Your happiness; your life.<\/span><\/p>\n

You may find this world again<\/span><\/p>\n

But you may never find this soul<\/span><\/p>\n

So never miss a chance<\/span><\/p>\n

To complete yourself;<\/span><\/p>\n

Be whole.<\/span><\/p>\n
