(<\/span><\/span><\/span>Book of Shadows<\/a>, Magical Diary by Earth Works Journals<\/a> on etsy.)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n In getting ready for your Ritual, you will need the following items:<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \n * Black Sand or Black Salt<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n * Garlic<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n *White Salt<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n *Black Sequins<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n *Bag of Glass Beads (with white, black and purple in them)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n *Bell (any size)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n *Candy (8 small pieces total)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n *Muslin Pouch<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n * a quiet place, not to be disturbed<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n * an incense that you really like that helps you calm down<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n * a pre-ritual shower (if so desired) to get the days\u2019 negativity off of you<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n * a lighter<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n * a tealight holder (for the tealight candle, or a piece of heavy duty foil underneath the tealight to protect your surface)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n Now…we\u2019re going to set up your altar (the place where you will be doing your ritual) –<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \n ~ Lay out a black altar cloth or any color you prefer<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n ~ Put the tealight holder to your right on the altar (or foil if that\u2019s what you\u2019re using)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n ~Place your incense holder (if you are using incense) to your left upper corner<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n ~ Take the black sand, and go outside and sprinkle the black sand around the perimeter of your entire property<\/span><\/span><\/span>.\u00a0 Best to do this as evening is approaching<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Then go inside<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n ~ Take the white salt and go into the 4 corners of your house (whichever rooms those are, and throw a pinch of salt into each of the farthest 4 corners of your house and one pinch at the front door, one pinch at the back door (if you have side doors, do it there too.\u00a0 But do the 4 corners of the house first.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n ~Stand in front of your altar and close your eyes and visualize the salt beaming up like crystal beams all around you protecting you during your ritual.\u00a0 Stay with this visualization till you feel it takes within you.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n Once you have felt the light around you and you are calm and breathing deeply, then sit and go ahead (either perform your circle casting, calling elements, etc. ONLY IF YOU WISH) and light your tealight candle and your incense.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n Say:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \u201cI call upon the Ancient Ones,<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n To help me with this spell to be spun.<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Protect me now as I say my heart,<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Keep all evil away so this Spell can start.\u201d<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n By now, a bit of wax pool should be forming on the tealight candle.\u00a0 Take a good pinch of the garlic granules (organic) and sprinkle on top of the tealight.\u00a0 Seeing a couple of tiny sparks is an excellent sign.\u00a0 Do another pinch if you wish, just not so much as to burn the candle out.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n Take your bell and while sitting or standing, shake the bell in the top left corner of your altar, then the top right corner, then the bottom left corner and then the bottom right corner and lay it down.\u00a0 A bell clears out negativity from you, your aura, and the room space.\u00a0 The garlic in the candle keeps evil and entities you do not wish to be there, away; along with the salt and sand you spread out earlier.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n Sit and Breathe in the scents<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Focus<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n Remember: your intent for this<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n Spell is\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>PROTECTION.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n With\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>PROTECTION<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0as your focus, take your pouch.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n Place the pouch over the tealight (but obviously without letting it get burnt) and let the scent of the garlic infuse into it for a minute or so.\u00a0 As you do this, visualize protection and safety for you and your family.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n ~Next, take the black string and tie 4 knots into it as equally spaced out as you are able.\u00a0 While doing this, say:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \u201c<\/span><\/strong>4 Knots for Protection At Its Best,<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n These 4 knots shall be put to the Test.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Protection comes our way today,<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n And stays with us through New Year\u2019s Day.<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n (at which time, you should re-do another New Year\u2019s Protection Spell.)<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n \n ~Place the string into the muslin pouch.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n ~Place Two white beads into the pouch and say:<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \n \u201c<\/span><\/strong>These beads show what will take place<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n To trespassers who harm us in our space.\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Place the black beads in and focus on the black absorbing all negativity or ill wishes that may be sent your way from anyone.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
