This neat little\n56-card and 144pg. book is all that you need to begin a practice of\nbringing healing, change and positive direction into your life. Ms.\nKaiser uses the modality of Mantras as a tool for creatively changing\nhow you think, respond and react to whatever life throws your way. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nWhat\nI particularly liked about this self-help tool is that the author has\nthe necessary knowledge of psychology, personal experience and an\nEastern Perspective which makes this set one that can be used and\nappreciated by a variety of philosophical and spiritual beliefs. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…which\nseems to be the pivotal point of creation of the Happy Deck, as well\nas her other books. The deck is meant to be used in an affirmative\nway and each of the 56-cards is highlighted in the accompanying book\ngiving suggestions about use, possible interpretation and a question\naround the card\u2019s message that leads to further contemplation and\nself-exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A\nvery nice integration of Mantra and divination (work to reveal\nanswers through the use of a variety of tools laden with specific\nsymbology) allows for the reader to be very mindful of the\ninterpretation given and how the cards may be used beyond simply a\ndaily or weekly activity. There are five ways of engaging the cards-\nSingle Card draw-Relationship Draw-Three Card Draw-Weekly (Seven\nCard) Draw and for the more ambitious and committed a Year In\nOverview (Twelve Card) Reading. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each\ncard is numbered and has a specific Mantra written in beautiful\nscript on a background of color and pattern. Mantras are an ancient\nEastern practice of repetitive statement, much like a short prayer or\naffirmation, that in the repeating of them gather energy around the\nvibration of the words and a meaning that imprint on your psyche. The\nmore the Mantra is used the deeper the inroads that are energetically\ncreated in how and what you out-picture of yourself. These Mantras\nmay have any goal in mind, but the magick in their effectiveness lay\nin the intention you are forming around each statement, each\nrepetition and the belief you are generating in hearing and uttering\nthese words of power. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\nchose a single card pick with the intention of how I could keep\nmyself more present in the moment. The card chosen was: \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nGratitude\nis the Life Force of Everything<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\nsat with this message for a bit and then turned to the appropriate\npage for the number of the Mantra I had selected. The meaning\nassigned reminded me that I may be turning my focus and attention\ntowards things that are not productive (and not keeping me in the\nmoment authentically. And, that …\u201dby\nturning your focus to gratitude, you will open up to new\nopportunities.\u201d. <\/em>More to think\nabout! There was another affirmation that could be used that expanded\non the idea of gratitude and a final question:\n \u201cIn what area of my life can I be more thankful?\u201d That final\nquestion is one I will carry with me every day. <\/em>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pretty\nsimple stuff, yet in the simplicity I think we all could use an\neffective and enjoyable way to find our happiest and joy-filled self.\n And, I would say that this deck of beautifully crafted cards fills\nthe bill quite nicely. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
