\nThe\nCosmic Egg from whom all life has sprung, the beginning of all life,\nis the symbol of the Divine Female’s creative force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nThe\nCosmic Egg represents the Cosmos, full of new life, promise and\npotential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nThis\nwas described in the Rig Veda, the oldest Indian collection of Vedic\nSanskrit hymns. The Cosmic egg, as primal, creative force has also\nbeen described as Shakti, the female energy from which all things\ncome. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nIn\nancient Egypt, the hieroglyph used for the Cosmic Egg was the same as\nthat used to describe the child in her mother’s womb. In ancient\nGreece, it was called the Orphic Egg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\nIn\nthe Lagos Museum, there is a 7,000 year old stone sculpture, six feet\nin length and imprinted with a symbol reminiscent of the strands of\nDNA; found in Silves, Algarve-Portugal, it was immediately named a\n“cosmic egg”. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
