Today we are going to talk about sexual magick. Some may ask what does sex have to do<\/p>\n

with magick? Others may ask what does magick have to do with sex. Well, if your sex<\/p>\n

isn\u2019t magical and your magick isn\u2019t sexual, then neither will help you accomplish what<\/p>\n

you desire. The sexual aspect of magic is a very interesting topic. However, one must<\/p>\n

keep a sensible view of such things.<\/p>\n

The most important thing to keep in mind is that humanity has a closer semblance to the<\/p>\n

Creative Forces of the universe than any other creature that inhabits this planet, because<\/p>\n

we are a small universe of the same creative forces. The \u201cGenerative Forces\u201d of the<\/p>\n

Universe are the Creative Powers themselves, whether the thing created is an idea, a<\/p>\n

child or an emotion. The Lord and Lady are Archetypes of these Generative Powers.<\/p>\n

At a very basic level the force that empowers magical rites is the same force that is<\/p>\n

generated during the sexual act. I am not advocating that everyone join a group that<\/p>\n

utilizes the Great Rite in their ceremonies. One should not sacrifice their own values and<\/p>\n

sexual magick takes many forms. The weapon entering the chalice is a dramatic<\/p>\n

reenactment of intercourse and is included in the genre of sexual magick. However, one<\/p>\n

who remains chaste prior to a Rite or Ceremony is practicing sexual magick as well.<\/p>\n

Anyone who has refrained from sex for an extended period of time can well attest to the<\/p>\n

amount of energy that builds up.<\/p>\n

Many old Alchemical texts are simply veiled instructions on sexual forces and their uses.<\/p>\n

There is more than one idea that comes to mind when the texts mention the alembic, the<\/p>\n

athanor and the elixir.<\/p>\n

Some folks may engage in sexual magick when alone with their partner. Some may even<\/p>\n

engage in sexual magick when they are alone, period. Yes, one can engage in sexual<\/p>\n

magick via a masturbatory route. There are also orgiastic rites, chaste rites, dramatic and<\/p>\n

symbolic reenactments. There are many types of sexual magick and many types of groups<\/p>\n

that engage in one or more varieties of sexual magick. Not to mention the individuals that<\/p>\n

utilize sexual magick without any involvement with a group, coven, society, or order.<\/p>\n

There are many flavors of sexual magick and like all such things, flavors that please one<\/p>\n

person\u2019s palette may seem disgusting to another\u2019s sense of taste.<\/p>\n

I would also advise anyone with a history of sexual abuse or trauma to resolve these<\/p>\n

issues through counseling before participating in sexual rites; if anyone encounters<\/p>\n

pressure from a group to engage in behavior that they are uncomfortable with\u2026 run like<\/p>\n

hell.<\/p>\n
