This book is a toolkit for the modern witch. It has 320 pages. This book covers so much information. I really enjoyed it all. Its split up into two parts. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Part 1 is Basic Information. It has six chapters in this area. <\/span><\/span><\/span>It covers Magic a world unto itself. Establishing magic as a new context for self help. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Location in time and space. Presenting the magical point of view for transcending limited time and space reality. <\/span><\/span><\/span>The 10 foot pole department. This area is about negative magic. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Witchcraft a living heritage covers a complete discussion on religion and philosophy of Witchcraft. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Karma and Reincarnation is about karma in daily life and the occult view of many lifetimes.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Part 2 is Magic and Metaphysical Techniques for Daily Life. This section has four chapters. <\/span><\/span><\/span>This area covers Astrology, basic information about how astrology is used including how to locate the right astrologer. A <\/span><\/span><\/span>Divination section is about looking into time an space, The I Ching, a personal oracle with complete instructions and also Tarot cards. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Words of Power helps self transformation with complete instructions for using word of power in every day life. <\/span><\/span><\/span>Widening the circle is about extending the work of magic to help others.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I would totally recommend this book to anyone new in Witchcraft. Its a great beginners book or even for those that aren’t to new to it like me as I actually learned a few things myself.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Marion Weinstein (1939-2009) was an author, teacher, media personality, and proud New York City witch. Known as the “Ethics Witch” she is one of the founders of the modern witchcraft movement. She was the first to coin the phrase and define “positive magic” and clearly delineated its use. Her radio show, Marion’s Cauldron, was the first regularly scheduled Wiccan and psychic programming on record and was a New York phenomenon for 14 years. Positive Magic, her first book, was published in 1978 and soon became a beloved classic. One student recalled Marion’s personal definition of magic as “transformational” and that her lifelong goal was to de-stigmatize witchcraft and shows its positive influence on the world.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
