Cynthia gifts matching pearl necklaces to her friends and herself and makes them all promise they will always be there for one another no matter what.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Fast forward to decades later, and Cynthia commits suicide!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Annie, Brenda, and Elise are horrified, and all go to the funeral. All four have lost touch with one another, and the surviving friends meet, and pledge to start something called The First Wives Club. All three have been ditched by their husbands for younger women, and they want revenge! This is after YEARS of putting their own hopes and careers on hold to do all they can to support their unappreciative husbands. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">They get it, in hilarious scene after hilarious scene, but the best part is how the ladies lives begin to transform while they are on the warpath. I won\u2019t spoil the fun by telling what they do, and what the zany results are. You will have to enjoy that for yourselves!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">What I will say is the magic of women supporting one another in a man\u2019s world proves to be more powerful than anything else. Some say we are the weaker sex. Not so. Only women can carry life within us, multitask, and women live longer. We are almost always the ones holding family together, and we are often left to support families all on our own. Not always! But often!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">With one another, the three friends not only worked together to take down their cheating exes, but established their own careers they had discarded. How many women do you know who have lost themselves in relationships? I have done it, myself, and everybody could see it but me. Getting out from under toxic relationships that ate their souls, the heroines of the story rediscovered parts of themselves they had completely forgotten about. Being in touch with who you are, what your needs are, and what you want to do with your life is perhaps the most magical thing of all. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Not everybody who says they will marry you is worth marrying- or even dating for that matter. Love for somebody can blind us to the way they really are until it\u2019s too late. Sometimes, we have nobody but ourselves, and truthfully, I know plenty of stories when that was enough, but usually it\u2019s not. We have to have somebody who really loves us remind us of who we are, and what we are worth. We are worth so much more than what people who don\u2019t appreciate us think we are.<br \/>\nOne of the many magical lessons offered in this is to be careful who you are close to. She was blessed with a marvelous mentor, Lord Shadow, and started a Magical Discussion Group at local Metaphysical Shop Fly By Night. The group was later dubbed A Gathering of Paths.
