Augusten had witchy powers as I call it, he knew things before they happened which I can relate to and I&#8217;m sure many of you reading this can, too. No one really explained anything to him so he had to pretty much figure it out all on his own. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Serif, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en\">The book starts out with him not really knowing he was a witch. He was eight years old on a school bus on the way home and he was looking out the window. As the bus drove over a bump he saw the image of his grandmother. Then he felt scared and anxiety. Once he got home he ran up to his door <\/span><span lang=\"en\">with fear <\/span><span lang=\"en\">and his mom opened the door with the phone on her ear and he was asking his mom what happen to Amah. He told his mom something really bad happened to her. H<\/span><span lang=\"en\">is<\/span><span lang=\"en\"> mom was surprised and asked how he knew. He explained what happen on the bus and she told him that his grandmother was just in a bad car accident. Finall<\/span><span lang=\"en\">y,<\/span><span lang=\"en\"> after talking to his mom about <\/span><span lang=\"en\">this,<\/span><span lang=\"en\"> she explained to him that he was like her a witch. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Serif, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en\">Later on in the book, Augusten and his husband Christopher buy a new house, well its new to them but pretty old and with a lot of history and, of course, Augusten starts to see ghosts there. They have a crazy neighbor and the story is so funny, the poor guys hahaha. He also talks about his husbands health and what they are going through. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Serif, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en\">He quotes, &#8220;Here\u2019s a partial list of things I don\u2019t believe in: God. The Devil. Heaven. Hell. Bigfoot. Ancient Aliens. Past lives. Life after death. Vampires. Zombies. Reiki. Homeopathy. Rolfing. Reflexology. Note that &#8216;witches&#8217; and &#8216;witchcraft&#8217; are absent from this list. The thing is, I wouldn\u2019t believe in them, and I would privately ridicule any idiot who did, except for one thing: I am a witch.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Serif, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en\">I love the way this book is written. You can really feel what hes going through and the way its written you can almost feel it with him. The humor is great in it. He had me giggling a lot especially <\/span><span lang=\"en\">with his<\/span><span lang=\"en\"> chipmunk story. There are serious moments in it too that make you go ohh wow. I love his personality he would be someone really fun to meet and hang out with. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Liberation Serif, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en\">I don&#8217;t believe in coincidences I think everything happens for a reason.
