This month\u2019s column features a job I commissioned by Kerry Bower of <\/span><\/span><\/span>Kerry\u2019s Creations<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/span><\/span>I knew what I wanted, but I didn\u2019t have the materials, patience or artistic ability to turn shoes and boots into works of <\/span><\/span><\/span>P<\/span><\/span><\/span>agan <\/span><\/span><\/span>A<\/span><\/span><\/span>rt.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

First she cleaned the shoes with Angelus brand leather cleaner. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Using Angelus brand paint, she freehanded her designs. There are other brands of acrylic-based paints created specifically for leather you can use. Do not mix brands, and never apply heat to help the paint dry. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
