Jennifer is a 46-year-old Witch happily married to the Pagan of her dreams.
\nShe runs PaganPages.Org with Sarah McMenomy. PaganPagesOrg is a free magazine that helps to give Pagans a voice and teach for more than a decade. It is a labor of love for them. I began writing for Jennifer eight years ago. It has been my labor of love and service to the goddess. It was also the beginning of a wonderful friendship. Jennifer firmly believes each witches\u2019 path is their own and no one should tell them otherwise. While guidance is great, remember, there are no set rules. 1. Do you have a magical name you\u2019re willing to share?
\n<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 I never chose another name to be my magickal name. I always believed my name was magickal. It was chosen just for me. Especially for me. Whether it took a lot of thought and effort or came to my mom in the moment, it was destined to be mine. I love being called Jenn, with two n\u2019s; Jennifer if someone means business; and Jenny by those who are special.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2. In what state do you reside?
\n<\/span><\/strong>I live in Pennsylvania.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

3. How do you make your living?
\n<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 I make things. I have a small shop on Facebook “This Witch’s Stitches & More.” I sell my handmade Goddess Dream and Intention Dolls there; Dragon Scale bags and other handmade items, too, along with some jewelry and other goods. Lately I have been selling from my page and through wonderful groups that hold things called Waffles (Witch Raffles). I toot them on my page.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

4. Are you out of the broom closet? \/ Have you felt threatened?
\n<\/span><\/strong>I am out of the closet.\u00a0 Always have been.\u00a0 I can not remember a time I have felt threatened. Annoyed by people preaching to me, yes, but that is a different story.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

5. When did you first know you were a witch? How long have you been
\npracticing?
\n<\/span><\/strong>I knew I was a witch since I was a small child. I would call myself a witch.\u00a0 Pretend my house was a secret hedge, hidden from the world. I thought I had powers to control things. I actively started practicing at about 13 I believe. You know, I do not like this question. I find it very silly actually. We are the only spiritual path that asks this question. Only witches upon meeting witches ask this. It is kind of insulting I think. Like is it a competition? Why does it matter? Are we weighing each other out to see who is the elder in the convo? I wish someone would explain this to me.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

6. How do you define your practice? Do you follow a specific tradition?
\n<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 After all these years my path has wound and twisted and went through many forms and changes. There have been many challenges along the way, as well. I have settled into what I believe. I call myself a Craft Witch mostly. I am a creative witch that works with her hands. I am a Kitchen Witch as well. Very herbal. I like my crystals here and there. I have my patrons my my side. I am solitary but do work with my family at times. My practice is definitely my own. I think as you grow older as a witch and on your path, you find that happens.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

7. What one object must be on your altar for it to be an altar?
\n<\/span><\/strong>Something representing everyone I love. I have things for everyone I hold dear on there: pictures, knick knacks, gifts\u2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

8. Do you have a daily practice?
\n<\/span><\/strong>Yes, taking my medication. I suffer from mental illness. I do not hide it. I suffer from severe depression, bipolar, anxiety\u2026 I can go on, LOL. It makes my day-to-day life very difficult, as it does for the millions of others who suffer as I do.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

9. How do you respond when someone asks,\u00a0\u201cAre you a good witch or a bad witch?\u201d
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong>I\u2019m a good person, but I will do what I need to do.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

10. Do you have a familiar?
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong>Oh YES! Susie! My wonderful baby girl. She is a 17-year-old tiny black cat. She gets into everything I do. Whether I am crafting something up for an order or <\/span><\/span>by <\/span><\/span>myself or doing magick she is involved. She is really a best friend.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

11. What gifts, skills or powers do you share with others?
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong>\u00a0 I feel. Too much. Ugh.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

12. What was your most magical experience?
\n<\/span><\/span><\/strong>I\u2019ve had a few \u2014 from ghosts to spells working to seeing Diana. They are all personal though.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\n\u2022Sabbat:<\/span><\/span><\/strong> Samhain. It is during my birth month. I just love the feeling around it.

For 11 years I was in a coven, but with retirement, I have returned to an eclectic solitary practice. When accepting the mantle of crone, I pledged to serve and teach. This is what I do from my skoolie \u2013 a 30-year-old school bus converted into a tiny house on wheels that I am driving around the country, following 72-degree weather, emerging myself into nature, and sharing magic with those I meet.
