We got to talking about our paths. One of the things I liked is that she, too, worked with death, and was not squeamish about bones and such. I also enjoyed the meals we shared, typically with her doing the cooking. Working in the lodge kitchen, the range was her altar, a wooden spoon her wand, pots and pans her cauldron, food her magic. But she\u2019s not just a kitchen witch. I found her exploring the many different paths of the Craft. It won\u2019t be long before she opens an online \u201cschool\u201d for witches \u2026 \u201cwitch\u201d I found fitting since she was living in a skoolie. It was a joy getting to know her. The first man I dated after my divorce was a witch who reintroduced me to the Craft, this time by way of the Goddess. For 11 years I was in a coven, but with retirement, I have returned to an eclectic solitary practice. When accepting the mantle of crone, I pledged to serve and teach.
