 <\/p>\n

We come to eat, we come to play<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To revel in the joy of the sun<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The heat of the height of the year<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Solstice has come and gone.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We bring in the first grains<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And pick first fruits to share<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We store away for later months<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We pickle and prepare.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

And while we feast and compete<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We honour those who came before<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

By being better<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Being kinder<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Being something more<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

For this green and graceful world<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Fragile in some ways<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But She\u2019ll go on after us<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Nature stays, always stays\u2026<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Let us hold the sun in our hearts<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Let us give space for the wild<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Let us give freely to those in need<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

No hungry mouths; no hungry child<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Let us honour the world we can\u2019t see<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The dangerous and bright;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Spirits on the hot, dusty wind,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Neighbours in the night.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
