In this issue of PaganPages<\/b><\/span>Org<\/b><\/span> we are celebrating Lughnasadh, the First Harvest as Summer transitions into Fall. <\/b><\/span>An additional boost is the <\/span>Full Moon in astrological Aquarius 2:33pm (EDT) and the Sun basking in the Fixed astrological sign of Leo, sitting mid-point between the solar transition from cardinal Cancer and Mutable Virgo. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The elemental impact of this year\u2019s Lughnasadh calls on the Fires of Leo and the movement of Air within Aquarius. Fire is fed or diminished by Air and so we have choice as to how we will proceed as we explore this first Harvest<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This issue we are taking a little break from the Tarot assignations and focusing on the astrological influx. So how might we astrologically interpret this for our celebration of Lughnasadh?<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mother Moon in her radiant fullness wears the cloaking of mind (Aquarius) and vision of something larger than itself (Aquarius). Father Sun stands in the strength of Leonine electromagnetic attraction, drawing to itself all that it desires and all that is viable in the bounty of its brilliant light. This dynamic duo is the epitome of reaping a harvest of plenty and of being the recipient of the effort and work put into seeding at Ostara, fertilizing at Beltane and seeing the beauty of full potential at the Summer Solstice. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Making the Most of This Harvest<\/b><\/u><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Aquarius is my Sun sign residing in the Ninth House and Leo is in the Third House, fueling both Jupiter and Pluto\u2019s energies. This also means that the dynamics are pulling one another across a stream of polarized action; Leo and Aquarius (3rd<\/sup> and 9th<\/sup> Houses) on directly opposite lines of the astrological wheel. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

My vision and mindset (Aquarius) is one of allowing for what no longer serves to fall away (9<\/i>th<\/i><\/sup> House of Endings and Beginnings) and serve as the composting for what is viable. I am able to do this by acting upon what I desire to create and what I wish to attract (Leo) to myself as a harvest that is bountiful. And, with the assistance of bountiful and expansive Jupiter and Pluto\u2019s gifts of reaching back towards the past to create the future of my making, this first harvest is one that sets into motion the receipt of all that is aligned with my highest good, with harm to none. <\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
