I write this as we are about to begin another week where the days get over 90 degrees here in Central Ohio. This shit was all supposed to be over with last month, but we got hit with more heat. It could be worse. Hurricane weather hit Florida, and affected the sea island areas nearby, and people have lost homes. Wildfires have raged in Canada, blanketing other countries in dangerous smoke, and Hawaii is grieving the burning of Lahaina. The earth is burning, and I am one of the people who believes human beings are to blame. Some people say that as you get older, you see more problems in the world, but we really have created issues that are deadly not only for our species, but for all other species, and the planet itself.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Difficulties shouldn\u2019t be a fact of life, but they are, and sometimes, we can\u2019t find solutions on our own. That\u2019s one reason so many of us turn to the Tarot for answers, but sometimes, difficulties arise, even in Tarot readings. A number of things can go wrong in a reading, and when you are seeking answers, the last thing you want is for the reading to be unhelpful. Unfortunately, sometimes, you go for a reading, and you walk out afterwards thinking your money would have been better spent if you had set it on fire and flushed it down the toilet. Each individual problem can be met with a solution, believe it or not. Yes, a solution is available no matter how much of a pain in the ass the reading was. Read on. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Cards Give Bad News<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s say the cards give a direct answer, and it is the exact opposite of what you want to hear. Did you ask about a romantic relationship and the reader flat out tells you that lover is not the one for you? Did you ask about a career and your reader flat out told you to go looking for jobs, but did not tell you where to look or what kind of jobs to look for? Did you have a fight at work, and the cards told you it was all your fault, and if you don\u2019t stop it, you will be fired? How about the \u201cAm I on the right path?\u201d question? Did the cards flat out tell you that yes, you are, and to keep going forward, but you still feel lost? The worst thing can be when the cards tell you things will not improve, and you are going to have to endure suffering a bit longer. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When you get news that you are not happy about in a reading, you might want to immediately argue with your reader. If your reader is any good, they might be sympathetic, because, hey, readers get shitty news in their own lives too, sometimes, but your reader is going to tell you they have stated the facts. You can take that information or leave it, but when it becomes obvious that they were right, you are just going to have to accept things. Once you have accepted the facts, you can hatch a plan to try and make things better. Sometimes, though, you can\u2019t change things, but being in denial won\u2019t make anything better. So, when the cards give bad news, accept the facts, and adapt accordingly. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Cards Seem Vague<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You know what? At least when the cards give bad news, they have given a clear answer. Clear news is better than no clear answer, no matter how bad the news is. One of the most frustrating things when you get a reading is the cards don\u2019t fully explain things. There is no fancy way to say it. When \u201cDo I go forward?\u201d is answered by \u201cThat\u2019s up to you\u201d, it doesn\u2019t give you anything to go on. Unfortunately, sometimes those are the type of things your reader tells you and there is just one thing to do when this happens. Ask for clarification. Then ask again and keep asking until the end of the reading if you want to. If it\u2019s not clear enough, sleep on it a night before you spend money on another reading with someone else to get clearer answers. Sometimes, when we are not happy with what a reading told us, we don\u2019t think about what was said. Sleep on it and think it over. There might have been more of a solid answer than you had first realized. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Cards Are Silent<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Well, maybe it seems like the worst thing ever is when the cards are vague- but there is something worse- when they don\u2019t tell you anything. Literally. There is no reason to drag the answer out to this one. Sometimes, you ask a question, and the cards start talking about something that has nothing to do with it at all. Before you fire your Tarot reader, pay attention to what you are being told. Just because we have something on our mind does not mean that is what we are supposed to be focusing on, and I don\u2019t know about you, but I find that highly frustrating. I don\u2019t like being bossed around by the Universe, the gods, or my spirit guides, but sometimes, they know best. I mean, they do know best, but I don\u2019t always like to admit it. I know from experience that I am not the only one who feels this way.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are a couple of different things you can do when this happens. Say a prayer to whatever entity guides you and then ask your reader to redirect the reading to your original question and tell them to pull different cards to answer it. Sometimes, that will fix the problem, and sometimes, it won\u2019t. When the second card pull brings up the other topic that you did not ask about, you are going to have to be quiet and listen. We don\u2019t know everything- although if you are like me, you feel like you do sometimes- and the powers that be will take any opportunity they have to give us the messages and guidance we need. They don\u2019t always tell us what we want to know about, but they tell us what we need to. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Reader Sucks<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s face it. Some people have no psychic abilities, and even some people who do have zero professionalism, and they are just lousy excuses for Tarot readers. There, I said it. Not everybody who is paid to be a Tarot reader is any good at it, and some people who are \u201cprofessional readers\u201d should not be doing it. In the unfortunate event that you find yourself wasting your money on a shitty reader, stop them and ask for your money back and tell them you want to leave. If you have not paid yet, just leave. I am a professional Tarot reader who writes professionally about psychic topics, and I am giving you my permission to fire them if they deserve it. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There are people who want to be treated as wise, powerful psychics, but they have no psychic gifts. They pretend to be professionals for not only prestige, but for money, and I have got to tell you, very few people get rich off working as psychic advisers, and truthfully, we shouldn\u2019t. I am not saying we don\u2019t deserve to be paid, I am saying that riches corrupt the profession. We are here to help other people, not to help ourselves, and when a so-called psychic reader can\u2019t read worth the paper their cards were printed on, it is not fair for you to give them your money to do it. Some people are not comfortable with being confrontational about such things, and I understand completely. Just don\u2019t ever go back, and make sure to spread the word so other people won\u2019t throw their money away or waste time going to them. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You Don\u2019t Get Along<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You know what? Sometimes, the reader is good, and it doesn\u2019t matter, they are not the right reader for you because for some reason, you just don\u2019t get along with one another. Maybe they are too blunt for your taste, and maybe they sugarcoat things so much it nauseates you. There is always a chance that you won\u2019t get along with a reader, but it is important for you to have a reader you get along with so you can be comfortable with them. Getting a reading is a very personal thing, and a lot of people share private information with their reader. If you would not spit on this reader if they were on fire, there is only one thing you can do.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Just move on and find another reader next time. That\u2019s why I advise starting with the shortest possible reading with someone the first time you go to them so you can decide whether or not they are somebody who you want to go see again. You build a relationship with your psychic adviser that can last for a long time, but if they annoy you, there is no way you can do that. Sometimes, it\u2019s nobody\u2019s fault that you just don\u2019t get along with each other, and that\u2019s okay.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So, when difficulties arise during a Tarot reading, it\u2019s okay. You can turn things around. No matter what the difficulty is, communicate your thoughts and feelings with your reader and you might be able to fix the problem immediately.
