Dylan came home.\u00a0 As he started up the stairs to his apartment, he noticed a new Halloween decoration his landlady had put out near the foot of the stairs: an old crone doll in a battered rocker, with long gray hair and snarly teeth.<\/p>\n

She reminded him of his grandmother, a woman he’d never had the warm fuzzies for.<\/p>\n

Dylan gave the doll a frown and went upstairs.<\/p>\n

He gave Granny a glance as he passed her.\u00a0 And stopped.\u00a0 Hunkered down and stared at her.<\/p>\n

The front of Granny’s dress was wet and stained, as if something had dripped down onto it.\u00a0 A lot of something.\u00a0 And little pieces of orange were stuck between her tiny, jagged teeth.<\/p>\n

Dylan stood up fast and walked quickly around the corner of the house.\u00a0 He decided to take the back stairs from now on.<\/p>\n

(They refer to their own CDs as “soundtracks for the imagination”.)\u00a0 Their music is featured during Halloween, and in theme parks, haunted attractions and within roleplaying games.\u00a0 They’ve had several past members (they’ve been around since 1997, after all), but currently boast Edward Douglas and Gavin Gozka.<\/p>\n
