I join a virtual coven for the dark half of every year because the focus is shadow work, something that on my own I will often avoid \u2026 like I did with this deck. The first card I pulled was \u201cUnderstand your karmic lessons.\u201d I didn\u2019t feel like applying myself that day; I didn\u2019t study the card and raced through the write up without reflecting, identifying, or acting. When I again picked up the deck, I drew that same card. I laughed at what felt like a reprimand for trying to avoid something uncomfortable. Other themes<\/span> I drew included tuning into my feminine lineage, befriending my inner child, and learning from family patterns.<\/p>\n
