Transfer into a mixing bowl and stir occasionally until completely  dry. Sprinkle onto carpet and let sit 15 minutes before vacuuming.<\/p>\n<p><a name=\"0.2_graphic04\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mail.google.com\/mail\/?name=d33be9805ff33117.jpg&amp;attid=0.2&amp;disp=vahi&amp;view=att&amp;th=126ed5febe0dbcf0\" alt=\"Your browser may not support display of this image.\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><strong>Lavender dryer sachet<\/strong><br \/>\nSome of you may have made the muslin bags filled with<br \/>\nLavender buds to add to your clothes dryer.<br \/>\nHere&#8217;s a little different twist.<br \/>\nUse raw uncooked rice in the muslin bags.<br \/>\nIn a bowl add Lavender essential oil to the rice, stir and place<br \/>\nin bags. You can also use handkerchiefs or other material.<br \/>\nJust be sure to seal or tie it so you don&#8217;t end up with rice in your  laundry and dryer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; color: #333333; font-size: small;\"><strong>Carpet Freshener  Recipe II<\/strong><br \/>\nThis makes a big batch of carpet freshener that will last quite awhile. Then add 5- 10 drops of lemon oil. If the<br \/>\nfloor is especially dirty, add several drops of dishwashing<br \/>\nsoap or\u00a0Thieves Household Cleaner. This will clean even<br \/>\nthe dirtiest floor.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a name=\"0.2_topofpage\"><\/a><a name=\"0.2_ovenclnr\"><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; color: #333366; font-size: small;\"><strong>Oven  Cleaner<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; color: #006633; font-size: small;\"><strong>Mix together:<\/strong><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; color: #333333; font-size: small;\"> \u00bc c. baking soda<br \/>\n2 tbsp. salt<br \/>\nHot water, as needed to make a paste.<br \/>\nLet paste sit for 5 minutes. Caution: Keep off wires\/heating elements.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; color: #333333; font-size: small;\"><strong>Oven cleaner  II<\/strong><br \/>\n2 tbsp. liquid soap (castile, peppermint)<br \/>\n2 tsp. borax<br \/>\n1 qt. warm water<br \/>\nSpray on oven and wait 20 minutes, then clean. For tough stains, scrub  with very fine steel wool and baking soda<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\">Feel free to adjust the recipes  to your preferred strength and scent or create your own combinations  to make them your own<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><strong>THE CLEANING CABINET ESSENTIAL  10<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\">For basic cleaning, the following  items are all you need.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><strong>1. Excellent disinfectant, deoderizer and  anti-fungal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><strong>3. Borax (sodium borate)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"> Alkaline mineral. Another  miracle cleaner \u2013 however it is an eye irritant and toxic if swallowed.  Keep out of the reach of children. (Caution: some borax has been found  contaminated with arsenic from where it is mined. Use sparingly.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><strong>4. Washing soda (sodium  carbonate)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"> Chemical relative of baking  soda, but more strongly alkaline. A great solvent, but slightly caustic,  so wear protective gloves. Don\u2019t use on wax floors, fiberglass or  aluminum.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><strong>5. Hydrogen peroxide (household  concentration 3%)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"> Bleach substitute in place  of chlorine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><strong>6. Bon  Ami (original)<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"> Founded in 1886, made from  calcite and feldspar mineral abrasives. No chlorine, perfume or dye.Biodegradable.  Excellent non-abrasive glass and appliance cleaner.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><strong>7. Liquid vegetable-based  soap<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"> Vegetable-based soap sometimes  referred to as castile soap.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><strong>8. Liquid vegetable-based  detergent<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"> Detergents are chemically  different from soaps in that they are made from synthetics. Look for  products that are biodegradable and made from vegetable-based ingredients  rather than petroleum based.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><strong>9. Olive and essential oils<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"> Lavender, lemon, tea tree,  and peppermint essential oils add natural fragrance and have antiseptic  properties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;\"><strong>10.
