Month 2<\/strong><\/p>\n

***Note: This section is short because it’s more of a review of things everyone uses.***<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

A.\u00a0 Cleaning<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ok, I know everyone hates to clean right!\u00a0 Well face it has to be done and we all have to do at least some of it.\u00a0 I feel cleaning your home is one of the best ways to get rid of any negative energy hanging around as well as all the dirt.\u00a0 There are many ways to clean and everyone has their own ways of doing so.\u00a0 I prefer to use homemade cleaners\u2026aka\u2026baking soda and vinegar.\u00a0 I also keep a control journal, helps me remember all the stuff I need to do each day.\u00a0 I keep this in the front of my book of shadows and it pretty much goes every where with me.<\/p>\n

A lot of people do not think about it but your cleaning tools can be just as magickal as your craft tools.\u00a0 So keep them in good shape, clean them after use, maintain them, and bless the when you get new ones.\u00a0 Here is a small list to get you thinking.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Broom – when sweeping,\u00a0 use a east to west stroke and say, I banish all negativity from this space and sweep in all good energy.\u00a0 Or if you feel up to it write your own little spell.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Rags and towels – I always wash these items on there own, so I say a little spell over them as I put them in the washing machine.<\/p>\n

***Assignment***<\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Make a Control Journal
\nA.\u00a0 List each room you have in your home.\u00a0 ( Do each room on it own piece of paper.)
\nB.\u00a0 Make Master Cleaning List.\u00a0 ( On your room list papers, thank of what you do to clean that room)\u00a0 example :<\/p>\n

Living room
\n1.\u00a0 Pick up
\n2.\u00a0 Clean off furniture
\n3.\u00a0 Dust
\n4.\u00a0 Vacuum<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Make a daily routine.\u00a0 Try to make 10 or 15 minutes to work on each room.<\/p>\n

7am- wake up, get dressed
\n8am – feed self, feed pets, clean up after
\n9am – clean living room
\n10am – clean kitchen
\n11am – work on home work<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Make a list of tools. (Think of how these things can be used to add magick to your life.\u00a0 Maybe write some spells for each item.)<\/p>\n

\n4.\u00a0 Dusters

4.\u00a0 Add a calendar and to list to the beginning of your Control Journal.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0 Look into what cleaning supplies you are using.\u00a0 Are they harmful to the home your trying to make.\u00a0 Are there better things out there to buy or make.\u00a0 Do some research.\u00a0 Remember anything that comes into your home has an effect on your magickal space.<\/p>\n

B. Cleansing<\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s important to cleanse your tools and work space.\u00a0 We do this to remove any negative energy that may have attached its self to your area or tools.\u00a0 Over the years I have heard many ways to cleanse and I believe everyone is right.\u00a0 I beleive in magick, it’s about what feels right to the person doing the magick.<\/p>\n

I have seen people use salt and moonlight to cleanse jewelry.\u00a0 Saga to cleanse a home.\u00a0 Spells and other things.\u00a0 I have heard of holy water.\u00a0 There is also the use of the elements.\u00a0 I believe the all work but the intent must be there.<\/p>\n

C. Consecrating<\/strong><\/p>\n

Consecrating is the best way to add a little of yourself to your tools and work space.\u00a0 I use meditation for this process. I fill a circle with positive energy and allow the energy to fill the tools and area till they “glow” with energy. But like all other parts of magick this is a very personal act.\u00a0 Always do what feels comfortable to you.<\/p>\n

There are many types of protection.\u00a0 From sachets and symbols to spells and rituals. I think the most recognizable is the pentacle or pentagram.\u00a0 As we go through each room I will share spells and rituals for each.\u00a0 For now I just wanted you to think about protection in general.<\/p>\n
