I am sending some recipes for homemade cleaning supplies and body care supplies\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Starting with window cleaner.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recipe #1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 cups water<br \/>\n3 TBS vinegar<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp dish detergent (liquid)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recipe #2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 gallon water<br \/>\n1\/4 cup vinegar<br \/>\n1 tsp dish detergent (liquid)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recipe #3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 gallon water<br \/>\n1\/4 cup vinegar<br \/>\n2 TBS lemon juice<br \/>\nsquirt dish detergent (liquid)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Recipe #4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup white vinegar<br \/>\n1 gallon warm water<\/p>\n<p>Spray windows with preferred cleaner solution then wipe clean with crumpled newspapers. The newspaper helps prevent streaks.<\/p>\n<p>Avoid cleaning windows and glass when the sun is hot and shining on the window\u2013glass will dry too fast and there will be streaks.<\/p>\n<p>Also wash one side of the window in an up and down direction, on the other side scrub side to side. This will help determine which side of the glass has the streaks that need to be polished out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Toilet Bowl<\/strong><strong> Cleaner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shake \u00bd Cup of Borax and 10 drops of tea tree essential oil into toilet,<br \/>\ngive it a quick scrub with the toilet brush, close the lid and leave for<br \/>\nseveral hours or overnight. Scrub again, flush and delight in your sparkling<br \/>\nclean, fresh-smelling bowl.<strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Homemade Laundry Soap Detergent Recipes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Recipe #1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 quart Water (boiling)<br \/>\n2 cups Bar soap (grated)<br \/>\n2 cups Borax<br \/>\n2 cups Washing Soda<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Add finely grated bar soap to      the boiling water and stir until soap is melted. You can keep on low heat      until soap is melted.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the soap water into a      large, clean pail and add the Borax and Washing Soda. Stir well until all      is dissolved.<\/li>\n<li>Add 2 gallons of water, stir      until well mixed.<\/li>\n<li>Cover pail and use 1\/4 cup      for each load of laundry. It works great too<strong>.)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>12 cups Borax<br \/>\n8 cups Baking Soda<br \/>\n8 cups Washing Soda<br \/>\n8 cups Bar soap (grated)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mix all ingredients well and      store in a sealed tub.<\/li>\n<li>Use 1\/8 cup of powder per      full load.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Liquid Detergents Note<\/h2>\n<p>Soap will be lumpy, goopy and gel-like. This is normal. Just give it a good stir before using. Make sure soap is covered with a lid when not in use. You could also pour the homemade soap in old (and cleaned) laundry detergent bottles and shake well before each use.<\/p>\n<p>*If you can\u2019t find Fels-Naptha locally, you can buy it online (check Amazon).<\/p>\n<h2>Optional<\/h2>\n<p>You can add between 10 to 15 drops of essential oil (per 2 gallons) to your homemade laundry detergent. Add once the soap has cooled to room temperature. Stir well and cover.<\/p>\n<p>Essential oil ideas: lavender, rosemary, tea tree oil<\/p>\n<p>If you add an extra \u00bd cup borax and a \u00bd cup salt to 1 \u00bd cups liquid detergent you can make a great soft scrub.<\/p>\n<p><strong>All purpose cleaner<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2 Tablespoons Borax<br \/>\n1 Teaspoon Castile Soap<br \/>\n15-20 drops total of Essential Oils such as Pine, Lemon, Lemongrass,<br \/>\nEucalyptus or Tea Tree (remember that Tea Tree is has great disinfectant<br \/>\nqualities)<\/p>\n<p>Add Borax to a 1-quart spray bottle.<br \/>\nFill with warm water.<br \/>\nAdd Castile soap and 15 to 20 drops of oil.<\/p>\n<p>Shake and use<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Body care<\/p>\n<p>Basic Shower Gel<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup unscented shampoo<br \/>\n1\/4 cup water<br \/>\n3\/4 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n15 drops fragrance oil<br \/>\nFood coloring ( optional)<\/p>\n<p>Directions:<br \/>\nPour shampoo into a bowl and add the water. Pour the water and grated soap into a microwaveable container and cook on high for 3 min. Remove and stir until all soap bits have melted (put in a bit longer, if needed). Let it cool, then pour into pumps (leftover from store bought liquid soap), and the remainder in any container with a lid. Makes about 24 oz.<\/p>\n<p>Peach Shower Gel<\/p>\n<p>3\/4 cup distilled water<br \/>\n1\/4 cup shampoo concentrate (or substitute with 1\/2 cup unscented shampoo and increase salt to 1 tsp.)<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp. table salt<br \/>\n1 tbs. apricot kernel oil<br \/>\n15 drops peach fragrance oil<br \/>\n5 drops vitamin E oil (2 capsules)<br \/>\n1 drop orange food coloring (optional)<\/p>\n<p>Warm the water and pour into a ceramic bowl. Add the apricot kernal oil, salt, peach fragrance oil, vitamin E oil (just break open the capsules) and coloring. Stir until well blended and thick. Pour into a squeeze bottle and close.<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Hair Growth herbal Shampoo<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This shampoo not only helps encourage hair growth, but it also keeps the<br \/>\nScalp very clean and healthy and helps prevent dandruff.<\/p>\n<p>2 cups distilled water<br \/>\n1 cup fresh spearmint<br \/>\n1 cup fresh rosemary<br \/>\n1 cup all-natural, gentle baby shampoo<br \/>\nEssential oil or fragrance oil, your choice, optional (to make it a<br \/>\nScented shampoo)<\/p>\n<p>Boil the water with the fresh herbs for about ten minutes, in a glass<br \/>\nSaucepan (like Visions). Or, you can put in a microwave-safe glass or<br \/>\nPlastic bowl and heat in the microwave until boiling, and allow to boil<br \/>\nFor about ten minutes. Then, remove the pot from the stove or bowl from<br \/>\nThe microwave and cover with a lid and allow to sit and steep for an<br \/>\nHour. Strain the liquid through cheesecloth. Mix this with the baby<br \/>\nShampoo. Pour into bottles and let set overnight.
