The Gothic Poet walks down the street<\/p>\n

And stops at the bus stop<\/p>\n

She posts one of her poems for all to see<\/p>\n

“What do you make of me”<\/p>\n

“Am I a freak or am I oh so chic?”<\/p>\n

“Dressed in black – am I a tiger or a pussycat?”<\/p>\n

“Read my words and you will see”<\/p>\n

“A deeper soul lies within me”<\/p>\n

She sits at home and paints her self-portrait<\/p>\n

Slightly distorted – this is the way she is viewed by the world<\/p>\n

She walks on down to the art gallery<\/p>\n

And posts her portrait at the entrance door<\/p>\n

“Do you want more?”<\/p>\n

“You will see more reality in this picture”<\/p>\n

“Than anything that lies behind this door”<\/p>\n

“Open your eyes and you will see”<\/p>\n

“All God’s beauty”<\/p>\n

She lies on her bed at home<\/p>\n

Waiting for a reaction<\/p>\n

Bu the passers-by fail to express any emotion<\/p>\n

Too wrapped up in their own worlds<\/p>\n

In God and man we place our trust<\/p>\n

Another creative soul bites the dust<\/p>\n
