Year And A Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Wiccan Basics<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There are very few \u2018rules\u2019 in Wicca.\u00a0 In fact, a lot of people like the fact that there is no rulebook, dogma or strict hierarchy in Wicca.\u00a0 Of course, this varies between traditions, as some groups have more guidelines then others.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rulebook or not, there are a few key tenets that most Wiccans follow, such as the Wiccan Rede, the Rule of Three, and even the Thirteen Principles of Wiccan Belief as set out by the American Council of Witches in 1974.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Wiccan Rede<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Wiccan Rede provides a common moral system for those practicing Wicca and other pagan religions.\u00a0 Doreen Valiente first published the famous \u2018eight word\u2019 couplet in 1964, \u201c<em>Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill, An it harm none do what ye will<\/em>\u201d.\u00a0 The long Rede below came from Earth Religion News in 1974.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Bide within the Law you must, in perfect Love and perfect Trust.
