Astral Travel, Lesson 6
December Assignment
The Sphinx Combo
For this lesson we will combine two of our previous lessons: focusing on a picture and using your imagination, with one small factor added in. One point I failed to make in the last two lessons is that visualization and imagination are the exact same things, so if it makes you feel more confident in the process, call it ‘visualizing’ rather than ‘imagining’.
This is an exercise that one of my teachers did with me.
In the forums there is a picture of the Sphinx. As before, focus on the picture before meditating or going to sleep, using your preferred method of going into a meditative state. Aim for the paw on the right (if you are staring at the face of the Sphinx, the one on the right is the one you are aiming for). Imagine/visualize yourself standing next to the right paw, standing on sand and stone, and feel the temperature of the air (according to the internet, the weather is around 55 degrees in Giza during the night and on average 77 degrees during the day). Put yourself there but making it real for yourself.
Once there, allow yourself to be guided, if that is how it happens for you. Or look around, remembering that you can pass through the stone, you can fly and leap as high or far as you want, and that you are completely safe.
I’ve left an object there for you to find. Do this assignment many times over the next month and look for the object I left as a side thought. Be casual about it, don’t make finding it your main goal. The object will be obvious and easy to spot so take your time.
Please report your findings and experiences! Remember that there is no insignificant detail. Everything you see, feel, and experience are deliberate, even if we don’t always know why. 😉
Happy travels everyone!
