    Witchcrafts

Welcome to “Witchcrafts” and I hope it proves useful.  Since this is my first time with this subject here I thought I would give you a basic idea of what it is.  Over the years of practice we have so much exposure to the tools of our spirituality it stands to reason that we would start to “think outside the circle” and this is the result of that.  Sometimes it’s something related to our practice and sometimes it’s an outlet for the other “craftiness” we possess.  As a result here we are!  Hope you like it and Blessed be! Incense recipes You can make your own incense and customize it…

Me,Myself and I, Notes from a Solitary Practitioner

A couple of years ago I read about using the energy from the full moon to charge water for future use in spells, cleansing, whatever.  I don’t remember which author it was to give proper credit, but I use it quite often and Ostara happens to come under that category.  It’s best to use spring, ocean, or rain water, something from the elements and catch it in a non-metallic container.  Put the container outside where the light of the full moon can shine on it unobstructed all night and then bring it in before it is touched by the sun.  Keep it somewhere dark like a closet, etc., and dip…

Me,Myself and I, Words from a Solitary Practitioner

A Solitary Imbolc The sound of the bell fills the air, soft and low As an ancient reminder As Above, So Below The practitioner stands in the velvet cover of night So there’s no interruption to this time honored rite She stands still in the darkness, firmly wrapped in her cloak And centers her energy to welcome Imbolc The natural items on her altar, become magic in her hands As has been the Witch’s way for many years, in many lands The golden glow of candle light, the sweet smell of burning herbs In perfect love, and perfect trust she say’s her heart felt words She gives her thanks to…

Since I knew the planet/day associations well,…

Me,Myself and I, Notes From a Solitary Practitioner

Merry meet Brothers and Sisters!  My name is Rayneschild and I am a commited solitary practitioner.  I prefer it this way because it allows me to have direct contact with spirit.  It also gives me the freedom use invocations, quarter calls, and natures gifts on the fly at the time of ritual allowing me to practice a much freer and less formal type of magick.  Thats not to say there aren’t times when I use my tools, altar, and plan ahead, because I definitely do, but there are just as many times that spirit moves me to perform a rite at 2 in the morning wearing fuzzy slippers and flannel…
