Noblemen Of God
GOD OF THE VINE – Dionysus If your mother was killed and descended to the underworld would you go down and save her? Greek God Dionysus did exactly just that. When his mother Semele, a mortal, was impregnated by Zeus, she wanted more than anything to see this truly divine presence. Hera came to Semele in disguise, and told her that she must see Zeus and everything that he was. So the next time Zeus came to Semele, she made him promise to show himself to her. Zeus, being madly in love with her, quickly agreed and presented himself in front of her. Instantly shocked and overwhelmed, Semele was burned…

Hally’s Hints
Answers to the Questions We Don’t Ask The shifts of change and the winds of time are ever present in all we do. This is becoming so apparent it is now an expectation that each unfolding week will be faced with some challenge that will enable some beautiful change that we will get to experience, be it by the end of the week or by the following. What this kind of change can cause is the separation in synergy. This means that those of us that are on the path to enlightenment, alignment and moving forward with pure intent will find ourselves more at peace and taking leaps and bounds…

Moon Owl Observations
The Goddess Athena Athena is a very well know goddess and was one of the most highly honoured and respected in ancient Greece. The tale of her birth is one that is both shocking and remarkable. Athena is not only a beautiful goddess, but is intelligent, wise and reasonable. She is also one of the three virgin goddesses and is credited with inventing the horse bridle, sailing ship, flue and trumpet. Another popular name for Athena is Minerva (Roman mythology) This goddess of wisdom and war had one of the most unique births. Her father is Zeus and when his wife Metis was pregnant with Athena, he was told that…

Duke’s Thoughts
Godzilla Cometh The story I am about to tell you is true in a round about sort of way, as you might infer from the title this story is about the Fantasy Monster we all know an love as Godzilla. I am not talking about the modern day interpretation but the classic seemingly indestructible monster that from time to time comes to Tokyo or some other unfortunate Japanese town to stomp it flat. But try as they might they just can’t seem to put a dent in his armor. Before we get to Godzilla a little background information is in order, my name is David but my friends just call…

The Veil
The Veil on this night is thin, A lifeless image held with in. Shadows dance from a flickering light, Specter’s roam the streets tonight. Ageless beauty encased in gold, Her youthful looks are very old. Long black hair falls in relief, Curious stare in disbelief. Darken holes where eyes should be, Seeing visions that we cant see. Death fills her face, with it’s embrace, In this dark and lonely place. I lean in close, there is a whisper, She calls to me, to come to her. “From this world that’s in-between” “Have a Spooky Halloween”.

InterWeavings
November Musings November in the US brings thoughts of Thanksgiving Day. Although it is an American holiday, the idea of devoting a day to gratitude is nice. Especially since it is the kick off weekend to the madness that is Christmas shopping! Eating meals together around a table. I will admit when we had all three kids at home it was easier to institute the ritual of coming to the table for a meal. We ate at six o’clock each night at the table. No eating in the family room in front of the television (unless mom was not home that night). Everyone waited until the last person was seated…

Rayne’s Ritual Way
Ritual: Solitary vs. Group It is important to find balance in our lives, and in our practice. It doesn’t really matter what sect or tradition you come from there will be times when you will have to do a working alone, and times when you can work within a group. Both experiences are very different experiences that advise everyone to partake in. Coming from a small (VERY) small eastern Texas town I found it very difficult to find like-minded individuals that were actually serious about Witchcraft. Wicca and Witchcraft, both, have been very integral parts of my life, and I always found it extremely disheartening to meet a new Witch…

Another page in my life turns. Freedom within my soul burns. Towards the sky I raise my arms. Thank you for keeping me safe from harm. The wind blows softly upon my face. The glow of the moon is your embrace.

Little Manual of Witchcraft
No one person can teach all of the Craft. No one person can learn all of the Craft. The Craft is too big. Every witch specializes in something, and acquires proficiency with three or four other things. This is why the saying declares “You cannot be a witch alone.” It is best to be in a coven, from six to twelve persons plus the high priestess. But people move around the world and it is not always possible for covens to keep together. The next best thing is to associate with one or two witches and keep in touch with others over the internet. Witchcraft and Neopaganism could not survive…
