A World Re-Enchanted July 2025
The month of July focuses on the concept of gardens not just as a physical space which produces flowers, food, medicine and other things, but also as a spiritual astral place where you can find rest, rejuvenation and planting seeds to grow the reality we wish to live in.
As a purely physical place the garden offers a connection to nature that allows us to be able to make outside engagement and to grow an appreciation for the flora and fauna around it.
There are physical benefits health wise improves strength, flexibility, and overall physical health. Also, as studies have shown being in a green space can lower blood pressure, decrease anxiety and improve overall mood.
Physical gardens are also a great space through which to build community, share knowledge and to build relationships and a sense of belonging through which social isolation can be vastly reduced.
From a spiritual aspect the garden represents a harmonious balance between humanity and nature. Gardens physical or spiritual are a wonderful place for meditation and contemplation.
Additionally, from a spiritual point of view gardens have a deeply symbolic nature. Water features represent purity and the flow of life. Rocks and stones symbolize stability and strength of all things.
Spiritually gardens physical or astral foster a connection to the divine higher power. They are a place of Awe and wonder. Finally, they are a place of sanctuary and rest. It allows for the rejuvenation of the soul and mind. A place to get away from the world to grow and recharge oneself.
In the Tolkien Legendarium the Elves absolutely love gardens and nature. Also, the Hobbits have a deep love for the garden as Bilbo says in the movie. I want to be home in my chair, with my books and my garden that is where I belong. The Hobbits especially the garden both as a physical and spiritual place are central to their community and whole being.

Full Moon of June – Isilcermië
This month’s full moon is known as the Moon of First Harvest. It is a time to start the harvest of crops physical or spiritual that were already planted. It is also a time in which to plant any other spiritual seeds that need to be planted to be harvested during this growing cycle.
O Isilcermië, White-limned herald of the ripened fields,
Master of the First Reaping, whose silver gaze falls upon the grain and the vine,
Look now upon the labors of our hands, and hallow the fruit of Arda’s toil.
From the ancient sowing to the swelling seed,
From leaf’s unfurling to the bending of stalks,
Thou hast watched with silent blessing.
Now the scythe draws near, and the baskets rise.
Let thy cold fire pass over our garnerings,
Not to wither, but to sanctify.
O Light borne by Tilion across the high airs,
Wanderer of the quiet heavens,
Mirror of Memory and keeper of hidden rhythms,
Shine upon this hour, that the yield may nourish more than body—
But heart, and hearth, and the deep places of the soul.
As the Elves beheld thee in the shadowless fields of Cuiviénen,
So do we now raise our eyes with reverence,
Remembering the first glimmers of the world,
When time was young and the earth unbroken.
Let this harvest be a song to thee—
A still hymn woven in sheaves and clustered vine,
Offered in silence beneath thy watchful light.
By thy grace, may what is gathered be enough.
By thy memory, may what is given be sacred.
And by thy shining, may what is shared be blessed.
Valar of July is Lórien or (Irmo)
Irmo or as he is more commonly called Lórien is the younger brother of Námo. He is known as the Master of Visions and Dreams. Working alongside his brother Námo also known as Mandos the pair of brothers are known as the Fëanturi or Masters of Spirits.
Irmo was married to Estë and they dwell in Lórien the gardens on the west of Valimar which is a city of many bells in Valinor.
Irmo in his gardens tended to and created a place of refuge to the Elves of Valinor where they could be guided through visions and dreams.
Irmo as a Master of Dreams and Visions is able to help all beings of Arda to tend and nurture their inner world and thus to help their outer growth evolve.
Below is an incantation that can be used to connect with Irmo and initiate the growth process.
O Irmo, Warden of Tranquil Thought,
Dweller in the gardens where Time forgets its name—
I turn my gaze inward, and call to thee.
In the stillness between waking and rest,
where the mind is loosed from its mortal tether,
thou movest unseen,
shaping dreams as the Valar shape the earth.
From the mists of Lórien let thy presence draw near,
not as thunder nor flame,
but as the silver fall of unseen leaves
upon the waters of thought.
By the memory of things not yet spoken,
and the visions that stir beyond the veils of night,
I seek thy favor—
not to command,
but to listen,
not to seize,
but to receive.
Let my soul walk in thy twilight groves,
where the air is heavy with quiet truths,
and every bloom holds a hidden name
whispered only in sleep.
Open the hidden ways,
where dreams descend from the mind of Ilúvatar,
and let thy voice,
soft as the breath of Estë’s rest,
speak to me in silence.
O Irmo, gentle shaper of inward paths,
I offer my waking heart as a vessel—
fill it, if thou wilt,
with the Light that dreams remember
and waking forgets.
Next Month Preview
There isn’t an element for next month but rather the focus is on The Ainur. These are the beings known as the Valar and the Maiar. While we have been looking at them individually next month will look more at them as a whole and the overall function they have in the material and world.
The full moon is Isilúrimë Moon of Heat
The holiday for next month is Yávië which is similar to Lammas and is on August 2nd. This is a celebration of harvest.
There is not a specific Valar for next month rather the month of August is dedicated to all of the Valar and Maiar so it will be a slightly different format in terms of things, but still a very interesting topic to go explore in greater detail.
So, stick around as we continue our journey for this year learning more of Arda’s Lore as we continue on our journey towards A World Re-Enchanted.
