I Am
I am the rising flame of autumn, kissed by winter’s icy light, I am the tender bud of springtime, Summer’s dance of gold delight. I am the space between the breath, The mountain reach to the cloud I am the lifted rush of wings as birds begin their wondrous flight. I am the tender touch of mother, soft caress upon your face I am the winter winds that blow and the morning sun as it shows its face. I am around you Always with you I am the sun on ripening grain I am the rain which falls upon you I am the warmth which comes again. (c) 10/23/09 – Sama Do not copy or distribute without express…

Myths and Legends: Journeys Through Time
Myths and Legends: Journeys Through Time There are 12 months, 365 (366 when February gains an extra day), and 52 weeks in a year. There are roughly 4 weeks in a month and always 7 days in a week. Every day of the weeks and every one of the 12 months of the year have a name. We know these names as surely as we know our own. They’re taught to us from a young age and surround us constantly. However…one thing that isn’t taught much is the origin of these names. With the exceptions of February, July, August, September, October, November and December the months were named either for…

Musings of a Massachusetts Witch
It’s All A Matter of Respect The definition of the word respect from The Merriam-Webster Dictionary, is “to give special attention or special worth to something”. And from the same dictionary, to label something wrong would be to believe that it is “incorrect, immoral and unethical”. So my question for you is, could you believe that something is incorrect, immoral and unethical but still respect it? Is that concept even possible when we look at the definition of the two words, respect and wrong? After considering this question I came to the conclusion that an individual could accept that something exists but still believe that it is wrong however, could that same…

The Crowe’s Nest
My Sacred Home I close my eyes and I transform from the home I know, to the home that is me. No longer am I standing in an apartment of wood and metal walls. I am standing in a field. The view is amazing. All around I can see golden wheat tickling my fingertips as I walk. My field is in the middle of this beautiful forest. All around me are trees as far as the eye can see. They protect my little home and keep me safe. It will always be here when I return. The animals watch over it. The air is crisp and clear. All around me…
