Book Review: The Giggles and Joy Children’s Series
Book Review The Giggles and Joy Children’s Series The Giggles and Joy Children’s books are a series of three books that focus on spiritual life lessons for kids. Each book consists of 8 poems that cover a variety of different topics. The books are written by Ariane de Bonvoisin with Carlie Sutcliffe. They are beautifully and creatively illustrated by Ellie Cross. These books are amazing and now a personal favorite in my home. They teach kids that positivity, joy and happiness are something to experience every day. Giggles and Joy Giggles and Joy: Spiritual Life Lessons for Kids is the first book in the Giggles and Joy…

The Sober Pagan
“H.A.L.T.”! Before You Continue Into The Holiday Season! One of the discussions lately in the rooms of AA – at least here locally – is how to get through the holiday season without relapsing. As someone who has been around recovery for a while, I find my best bet is to stay home and enjoy my own company. This year, my son’s father – Mr. AA himself – is spending the Yuletide season with us, so it’ll be lots of recovery talk and talk about Buddhism and other spiritual paths. Plus lots of good food to eat! I admit, I am looking forward to this! When people ask me my…

Sexual Harassment on the Energetic Level
The week I wrote this article the case of Christine Blasey Ford was headlining. She is a university professor from California who has accused supreme court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of a sexual assault that occurred when they were both teenagers (in the 1980’s). Dr Blasey Ford has been forced to go into hiding since the story went viral and her life has been turned upside down completely. Yesterday many people close to me were glued to their screens as she gave her opening testimony and explained how the sexual attack has changed her life. I am acutely aware that her story is upsetting and triggering many other women who…

Cry of the Cailleach
Winter cries A broken sob Of rain and throbbing grey To wistful white A sorry sight A tear track trails And smiling fails As frost bites hard Each chew and chomp Enamel stomp Upon a tongue Of furry sludge A grisly grudge A snarling wind And screeching trees Fog whispers please… And begs for entry To the heart The roaring hearth The glowing soul Oh let me in, let me in… Cailleach cries But listen not If you are wise. Copyright 4th December 2013 *** About the Author: Mabh Savage is a Pagan author, poet and musician, as well as a freelance journalist. She is the author of A Modern…

Going Shamanic Radio
“Going Shamanic” is hosted by Jennifer Engracio on P.A.G.E. Media Project’s blogtalk radio each month. The show focuses on how to integrate shamanism into every day life. Instead of relegating the spiritual aspect of ourselves to Sundays at church or weekend workshops, this show will support listeners in weaving ritual, prayer, magic, alignment with the Spiritworld and the Earth into their lives to enrich their experience of living. This Month’s Topic: Heyokah ~ Trickster Medicine! Join us as we explore Trickster Medicine on our show. Another name for this is Heyoehkah or Sacred Clown Medicine because these people are contrarians who know how to turn something on its head so others can learn to…

Interview with Author Ceri Norman: Faeries, Stones & Hope
Ceri Norman: Faeries, Stones & Hope I was really drawn to Ceri Norman’s book on stones and their connection to magical beings, and you can read my review here. Ceri is a prolific writer on a number of fascinating subjects and makes beautiful nature inspired jewellery which she sells on Etsy. Despite being so busy, Ceri was kind enough to give up some of her time to speak to us here at PaganPagesOrg! Here’s what she had to say when I caught up with her this month. Mabh Savage (MS): When did you first start writing and what drew you to it? Ceri Norman (CN): I honestly…

Book Review – Of Witchcraft and Whimsy: A Beginner’s Guide to Basic Witchcraft by Rose Orriculum
Book Review Of Witchcraft and Whimsy: A Beginner’s Guide to Basic Witchcraft by Rose Orriculum Of Witchcraft and Whimsy: A Beginner’s Guide to Basic Witchcraft is a great book written by Rose Orriculum. It is tagged as a beginner’s guide to witchcraft, however, after reading it, I feel that anyone could enjoy the contents of this book regardless of where they are on their magical path. The book begins with a chapter on the “basics”. This tends to be the run of the mill basics but Rose is honest and open. She makes it a point to let you know that witchcraft is not a certain way. She…

Book Review: The Book of Ceremony – Shamanic Wisdom for Invoking the Sacred in Everyday Life by Sandra Ingerman
Book Review: The Book of Ceremony Shamanic Wisdom for Invoking the Sacred in Everyday Life by Sandra Ingerman Although I do not follow a Shamanic path, I have long been a fan of Sandra Ingerman’s work and fold much of her teachings into the practice and teachings I offer to my coven mates and students. I particularly enjoyed this book as a reader friendly and generic template for incorporating ceremony into any practice. The Book of Ceremony by Sandra Ingerman reminds us that our focus is often distracted as we attempt to recreate or analyze ancient teachings and wisdom and that the most important piece in ceremony is our intention…

Review of PracticalCandleMagick on Etsy
Review of PracticalCandleMagick’s Spell Kit Teacup, Pillar and Spell Candles, Handmade in London Money/Wealth Drawing Spell Kit A beautiful, gold package lands on my welcome mat. I’m immediately cheered by its shiny exterior. I open the tantalizing parcel, and am met with the most amazing smell. I’m already feeling better; the sensuous pleasures of colour and aroma have combined to notch down my stress levels a touch. A good start. The parcel has been carefully package with up-cycled and reusable plastic, something I approve of greatly. The products themselves are in a peppermint and white paper bag, reminiscent of old-fashioned sweetshops; tempting and nostalgic in equal parts.…
