The Next Blue Moon will be on Sunday, May 31st. It’ll be the sixth full moon of the year. There are two kinds of blue moons. The best known and most common is when two full moons happen in the same month. (The second one is a blue moon, natch.) The other kind is when a season has a quartet of full moons. The third one of the four is a blue moon–actually, a seasonal blue moon. This month’s blue moon will be the last full moon of Spring and will be in Sagittarius. That will add power to an already formidable situation. A blue moon is magically stronger than a normal full moon. It serves as a portal for breakthrough moments such as finding clarity and focus after a time of confusion or transcending outgrown limitations. With a Sagittarius moon opposing the Sun in Gemini, this blue moon will trigger the Gemini-Sagittarius axis–a coalition of communication, knowledge and meaning–consider it a cosmic amplifier. You can make big changes right now if you really want to!

It’s Also a Micro moon. What’s that? (No, Pilgrim, it ain’t an itty-bitty moonlet. Well, I mean, yeah, it kinda is, but there’s more to it than that.)  It’s a moon that occurs near its apogee–the farthest point away from us in its orbit. Is a good time for journaling, meditation and introspection.

Be advised. In my opinion, the aforementioned Gemini-Sagittarius axis outweighs the much calmer micro moon influences right now. Note that’s my opinion, and yours truly is no expert. (Not even close–Sparkle often says she’s surprised I can type. To be honest, sometimes I am too.) We all clear? Okay, read on!
