The Little Witches Guide to the ABC’s is written by Anne Fiore. Author Anna Fiore has always felt a connection to divination, magick, and the moon. She is a mother of two children, and as a witch found it difficult to find books or literature centered around pagan or occult teachings for children.
Fiore created The Little Witches’ Book Series for children who come from homes of witches and practitioners of magick. After noticing a lack of magickal books pertaining to witch or pagan lifestyles, Fiore aspired to provide literature that contributes to the nourishment of our little witches.
With a passion for writing since childhood, Anna stepped into action to provide books that are diverse in the idea of many paths for witches and any practitioners, and that are bright and beautifully illustrated. The Little Witches Series is geared to let every child know regardless of sex, age, or race magick is for those who seek it, and is inclusive for all!

Lydia Amora is a little witchy illustrator that lives in Monterrey, Mexico. She graduated with a degree in animation and special effects, and has dedicated her life to the illustration of books, blogs, social media and to creating pretty things.
Her favorite things are drawing, cats and dancing. Her art is a mix of magic, dreams and interesting stories that live in her inner colorful world, and she hopes her drawings can bring a spark of inspiration to those who read this book.
When I spoke with Anna via Instagram chat, she said that her favorite thing about The Little Witches’ Guide to the ABC’s is that it’s the book she wished she’d had as a child. She said the greatest thing about this book is that it will spark curiosity about many topics, and you can explore those further, and that curiosity is the most important thing for Little Witches.
When I asked her how she got the illustration job she said, “I got the gig through a Facebook group where I saw Anna looking for an illustrator, and I responded with my info and we got further contact from there. It was lucky because I have a page dedicated to witches called The Witchy Stuff, so I already have experience drawing witchy related things.”
There’s a cute little interactive aspect where the author asks the reader to find their cat, Stardust, along the way. Stardust is in every image and is sort of like a Little Witch version of Where’s Waldo. Stardust is modeled after Anna’s real cats- Ziggy Stardust, Baby and Pete.
This book hits all the magickal keywords, such as “clairvoyant” and “communicating” for “C,” and “goetic” and “grimoires” for “G.” You will definitely be searching for definitions to share with your Little Witch. It’s a great set of witchy vocabulary for Little Witches of any age to pick up. I can just see the conversation now –
Little witch: Daddy, what’s a Jinn?
Dad: Uhhhm, and Tonic?
The Little Witches’ Guide to the ABC’s is all about learning different paths of Magick. They feature a bruja, angels, druids, fairies, hoodoo and even Lucifer. The book doesn’t go into any details on the practices, it just plants knowledge of what’s out there in witchcraft. You can explain to your kids the nuances, such as closed culture practices, as you delve deeper into each keyword.
