Lost Book of Spells is a beautifully designed and illustrated spell-book that covers magical tips and simple spells and rituals for every facet of life-love, money, home, well-being and so much more! From tea recipes, ritual baths, candle spells and any other kind of spell you could think of, this book is jam-packed with practical, easily done spells that’s perfect for the beginner and advanced magickian or witch alike. Horne is one of those witches that just knows her stuff, and is kinda old-school like me. Her style and approach to magick mirrors mine very much, and I have to say the design and illustrations of the book really sold me, on top of excellent information.

The photos above are only a small glimpse into the vibes of this spell-book, which to me resembles a romantic and somewhat Victorian and Goth energy. The spells themselves seem to be more Wicca-based; but that’s not always a bad thing. As a matter of fact, Wiccans have some of the most beautiful spells, and effective to boot! While the darker magicks, like hexes and such, aren’t given here, I would argue it could potentially tarnish the overwhelmingly positive energies and nature of this book. I personally took a significantly longer amount of time going through this book, and tried numerous spells out of it, with great ease and manifestation of my goals.

The last bit of praise I’ll heap onto this wonderful book is that Horne includes spell-casting tips and tricks, and gives a rundown on the subject that will help even the newest of spell-casters cast effective and powerful magick, with little to no backlash. I simply can’t praise Lost Book of Spells enough; the design, aesthetic and overall content are great, and I will be returning to this spell-book many times in the future, I’m sure. With the new moon coming up this weekend, you’ll be hard pressed to not find me going through it. I have zero critiques for Lost Book of Spells, and as such, I give it a 5/5 Pentagram rating!

Fiona Horne is one of the most widely recognized Australian Witches. On top of being a foremost expert on modern witchcraft, she is also a musician , having been the singer/songwriter of techno/rock group DEF FX.
