Title:  New Moon Life Design: Manifest the Life You Want Using Lunar Cycles, Tarot and Astrology
Author:  Yesbelt Fernandez

Yesbelt Fernandez presents a year-long practice incorporating the powers of lunar cycles, astrology, and tarot to take readers from where they are in life to where they want to be.

Each twenty-nine-and-a-half days comprise what she calls a “moonth,” during which the moon moves through eight phases and all twelve zodiac signs. Aligning intentions with these ever-changing energies creates a natural rhythm, and using that energy can make life easier.

The first three chapters introduce her “Big Three” foundational tools: lunar cycles as the cosmic calendar, astrology for the focus, and tarot for reflection and guidance.

From there, “New Moon Life Design” becomes a guide through thirteen lunar cycles, beginning on any new moon, and connecting with the lunar rhythm of waxing, full, and waning, then returning to new, again and again, forming a spiral that goes deeper each cycle.

The year is divided into four seasons – each associated with one of the four major moon phases. Sections begin with a personal story, a description of the season, and the corresponding tarot cards with intentions for moon phases. Astrological information about the season’s three zodiac signs, their ruling planets, the houses and their themes, and the tarot cards paired with each serve as a reference to use throughout the year – so no memorizing is required.

In part three, it all gets woven together for designing a more intentional, meaningful, and magical life. There are detailed, step-by-step activities for each moon cycle, a guide to creating lunar rituals, an annual life check-in, keeping a journal, and tarot spreads. There is also a list of recommended reading to go beyond the basics presented in the book.

I have worked with the three modalities of this practice, but rarely all at the same time with the same intent, but I can see how with a bit more effort, I can further direct the focus and bring more energy to my rituals. I also learned the astrological influences of the court cards, which will help in my readings because those cards often trip me up. This book is a reference I will turn to for information about every phase of every moon cycle.
