It’s that time of year again, when we are giving gifts and buying new things for ourselves. If you’re like me, you probably have friends who are as into the Tarot and Oracle decks as I am – my daughter-in-law is a total devotee and I always give her a new deck for Yule – Here’s a new one to add to your list.

This deck is beautiful and different. I have never seen cards like these. Based on the concept of “animism” – which is the attribution of souls to plants, inanimate objects such as rocks and dirt, and natural phenomena, as well as the belief in a supernatural power that organizes and animates the natural world – these cards have no human figures on them but I didn’t find myself missing the human element as I started using the cards.

I love the artwork. Look at the use of color – the blue, the silver, the black background! The small bits of green and red and creamy yellow. My attitude has always been – you can use any Tarot deck you want, but if the artwork doesn’t speak to you, then what’s the point?

Even the back of the card is gorgeous.

I couldn’t find much information about Willow Fay, except that she lives in British Columbia, Canada. It’s obvious that her living environment informs her artwork. She has a website, which is here ~~~~> https://www.enchantedmoss.com/about

Without a doubt, I love this Tarot deck and will be using it on a regular basis for years to come. More than once a week! I can guarantee you that!

About the Author

Polly MacDavid lives in Buffalo, New York at the moment but that could easily change, since she is a gypsy at heart. Like a gypsy, she is attracted to the divinatory arts, as well as camp fires and dancing barefoot. She has three cats who all help her with her magic.

Her philosophy about religion and magic is that it must be thoroughly based in science and logic. She is Dianic Wiccan but she gets along with a few of the masculine deities. She loves to cook and she is a Bills fan.

She blogs at silverapplequeen.wordpress.com. She writes about general life, politics and poetry. She is writing a novel about sex, drugs and recovery.
