Weyland’s Whey March 2026 Blood Moon Column

The Full Moon occurs on March third. It coincides with the total lunar eclipse. As Earth’s shadow moves across this full moon, our satellite darkens and becomes reddish–the Blood Moon Effect. This will be the third full moon of this year and the last full moon in Winter.

This rare Blood Moon Eclipse will be on display over North and South America. Magic wise, it brings sudden endings and revelations, a significant event with great implications, denoting truth, balance and illumination.

MUSIC Review: Blood Moon, by Purrple Cat. Instrumental. Haunting. Lo-fi genre (a.k.a. “low-fidelity”, distinguishable by warm and imperfect sound, frequently including vinyl hisses, crackles and background noises), a style which Purrple Cat’s music takes to a whole different level. It’s like listening to a dream. A popular but mysterious producer, this artist has gained an online following. I can understand why. My verdict: 5 broomsticks.
