Documentary Review – The Medicine
Documentary Review The Medicine Produced by Alma and Aperture Media Productions Time 1:25:16 The Medicine is by far the most eloquently executed documentary of Psychedelics of all time. Featuring Graham Hancock, Rachel Harris, and many other of our leading cognitive scientists, as well as an inside perspective from the Shaman himself, they take you up close and personal with the medicine known as Ayahuasca. Samhain Gifts from the Ancestors: Healing Inter-generational and Historic Trauma
“It is liberating to consider that when we heal an ancestral pattern, we are not only freeing future generations, but healing backwards through time, liberating all those souls who were left unresolved, unforgiven, and misunderstood.” -Toko-pa Turner from “Belonging: Remembering Ourselves Home” As Samhain approaches and the veils between our world and the spirit world grow thinner, I’ve been sensing my ancestors surrounding me. I am more deeply recognizing the incredible gift of life I was given through them. Because they lived and survived the times they were born into, I am here. What resilience I have inherited! I’ve also been reflecting on the tremendous responsibility I…

Tarot Talk
Comparing the Ten of Wands & the Ten of Swords Many Tarot cards can seem similar enough to each other that interpreting them when they both show up in a spread can be challenging. One way to achieve a deeper understanding of a card is to compare it to another card. This month we will compare two Minor Arcana cards, the 10 of Wands and the 10 of Swords. We will explore similarities between these two cards and the differences. I will be using card images from the Rider Tarot Deck for this analysis. Both of our cards have the number 10. The number 10 represents the end of one…

Celebrating the Old Ways in New Times Second Edition
Celebrating the Old Ways in New Times for December 2020 Bright Blessings! We have had an unusually warm November this year, and I have taken full advantage of it to sit and visit outdoors as much as possible with people who I know I am not going to see again until March or April. Covid-19 has hit us hard this month. I am in Franklin County, Ohio, and our county hit purple warning level of public emergency in regards to the levels of Covid19. For the first time, shops and even our Metro Parks are enforcing mask use, and we are back on a curfew again. Next, they may shut…

Working with the Morrigan Oracle Deck
During the pandemic I’ve been focusing on learning more about Irish Paganism, partly because I grew up with tales of Ireland and the Tuatha dé Danann, but also because I’ve studied and honoured the Morrigan for years and wanted to go deeper, and get more in touch with the lore. One of the tools that was recommended via the Irish Pagan School was the Morrigan Oracle Cards deck by Morpheus Ravenna and Hannah Storyteller. This gorgeous set of cards is full of themes from Irish mythology, beautifully detailed and with only a brief guidebook (downloadable), so it really encourages you to use your own intuition. Since the 2nd of November,…
