    WiseWoman Traditions

Quench Your Thirst with Herbs Summer solstice and the longest day are past. As we slide from summer into autumn, the sun seems hotter and fiercer than ever. And the summer’s heat makes us thirsty. What shall we drink? There are so many choices. Since 2003 the number of new drink products on the market has tripled. How are we supposed to choose the best drinks? Does it even matter? I think it does. The liquid portion of our diets is as important as the solid portion. That’s why I drink herbal brews, nourishing herbal infusions to be exact, instead of juice or water. Some herbs are powerhouses of nourishment,…

    Household Magick, Lesson 1

    A.  Naming your home and giving it purpose. I know some will find this silly but we are going to give our home a name.  This is a very old practice,  it makes your home more them just a place it becomes a entity all its own .  King arthur named his castle and lands Camelot.  Elvis names his Graceland.   We all live in towns and cities, that the founders took time to name and give purpose too.  Later in this course you will write and perform a naming ceremony for your home. I am Wiccan

I am Wiccan, It’s in my heart. I am Wiccan, Every ounce of every part. I lead my life in a different way, With the Goddess by my side. I work with the elements each passing day, And complete my spells with pride. I hide behind a mirrored door, Afraid to show my face. I am me and so much more, But to you I am a disgrace. I walk the ways of Our Earth Mother, And follow the words “Ye Harm None“. Just because some have chosen another, Does not make mine the wrong One. Love and Light to those who know, The truth behind what I write. As…

    Oracles and Omens

divination is something that every human marvels about. A Tarot reading by an experienced interpreter can be quite informative. The way the cards are presented in a layout tells quite a story. Each card laid out represents something that could be within the Querent’s life. Each placement of the cards tells what part of the Querent’s life the card is revealing. All the pieces of information given in a reading is important. Each card is different and each card has its own meaning. True believers take into account every detail that is revealed in their reading. I would like to take a look at Harmony this month from the Shape…

    Rite and Ritual

The Magick of a Summer’s Night Full Moon The warm evening slowly melts, giving way to the night. Cooler air begins gently drift further out from the river’s banks and creep across the forest floor. A full moon crests above the fir covered ridge north east of the river’s course. I stand at the entrance of the path, tuning myself to the moment while looking up to the moon through the darkening cedar boughs. My feet melt into the Earth, seeking a deeper connection as I fill my lungs with the forest’s breath. Sweet and warm fills my senses within the sated content that slows my vibration. I think I…

    Across the Great Divide

Michigan Hauntings I’ve had the fortune of visiting many interesting places to come away with some amazing personal experiences and evidence.  I’ve included links, where appropriate, to photos and EVPs from these locations.  Just click on the image thumbnails or the sound clip to access the links. In the spring of 2008 I was involved in the investigation of a house in the historic city of Mount Clemens, Michigan.  Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, under the shade of centuries-old oaks and maples, sits a home that was built in the 186o’s.  With such a long and profound history of the house and its neighborhood it was not surprising that tales…
