A World Re-Enchanted March 2026: The Sacred Nature of the Everyday Specifically Chores
The subject of this month’s column is one rarely addressed within modern Neo-Pagan literature—an absence that has quietly shaped the practice of many contemporary seekers. It is a matter both subtle and profound: the estrangement of the practitioner from the living current of their own path. Within many Pagan communities, one encounters a recurring sentiment. Practitioners speak of disconnection—of distance from their magic, their altar, their observances of the Full Moon, the New Moon, or seasonal rites. These markers, though meaningful, have come to be mistaken for the totality of practice itself. When they lapse, many feel as though their path has faltered. This assumption reveals a deeper issue. When…

Weyland’s Whey April First, 2026 & Tarot Deck Fool’s Card Column
April Fool’s Day Needs No Introduction. It’s the first of April in most countries and received its name from the tradition of playing practical jokes at this time. It’s been around for hundreds of years, but its actual origins are unknown. April Month rituals and spells tend to be about moving on and starting new ways of living, loving or simply being alive. During the late Middle Ages in fancy European courts, popular witches and sorcerers made up aphrodisiacs and potions in April especially, since it was thought to be a dandy month to conceive male heirs. Hey Presto. This Card Might. The Tarot Fool card usually shows an oblivious guy walking…

Review: Stone Witchery & Divination. Lithomancy and Magick with Rocks, Gems, and Crystals by Amber K
I have always been in love with stones, crystals and gems. Every chance I get even now I hunt for interesting stones or do gem mining. My daughter has inherited this love, so this book is something that both interests me, but also supports a part of my personal practices. The quote after the dedication made me giggle, because this is very true for myself. I have walked off trails and down beaches just getting lost in my own world of trying to find a nice addition to my current collection. Some of the most cherished pieces I have in my collection were gifted to me by one of my…

Review: Magic from the Hilltops & Hollers by Leah Middleton
This book spoke to me almost immediately. My family is from Southern Ohio and West Virginia. I love folk lore, superstitions and healing from nature. When reading the foreword the reader could start to feel the love that multiple writers have for this subject and how multiple people incorporate the idea both abstract and actual into their practices. From the start of the book the imagery the writer uses starts to paint an exquisite picture that transports the reader to the location described. It also helps orient the reader to the area and can give way to locating the actual area on google map images if desired. The writer settles…

Weyland’s Whey March 18th-April 14th Celtic Tree Adler Month Column
Adler Tree Month. Spells for success in business and academia work well now. Celts thought of the Adler as the Faerie’s Tree. Adler Fey have been described as “Dark Faeries” or water spirits and are quite protective of the tree. They’re rumored to dance under blooming Adlers and when they leave one they are said to morph into ravens. Adler magick applies to spiritual decisions, prophecy, resurrection, air and water magic and protection, among other talents. The next Full Moon–a.k.a. the Full Pink Moon–will be April First. Significant astrologically because it coincides with our Full Moon in Libra, it emphasizes relationships and balance. It’s a time for manifesting emotional clarity. The…

You are allowed to celebrate the ancestral holidays without becoming a pagan – A message to those who want to distance themselves from Christianity
I have acknowledged pagan holidays since around the age of 12, but this is the first time in my life I have finally decolonized them. The last year I’ve watched as Evangelical Christians have become extremists who’ve hijacked the government and are forcing their cruelty upon the world. I’ve seen them use their religion to justify harm, control, fascism, and war. Now they are telling soldiers that the war in Iran was “all part of God’s divine plan”, and that they are trying to spark Armageddon via WWIII. It’s insanity, it’s depraved, it’s unforgivable, but mostly importantly, it’s how that religion has always been. The Abrahamic religions continue to do…

Weyland’s Whey Ostara 2026 Column
Miss Us, Pilgrim? Due to (me, at least) incomprehensible and totally inexplicable occurrences, the Pagan Pages site was down for a few days! But Jenn’s hubby got us back! (Somehow. I still don’t get how, but he did!!) Yay!!! Ostara is here! Observed around the Spring Equinox, when night and day are of equal length, this Sabbat represents truth, justice, and–no, that’s somebody else. Try rebirth, balance and a return of light. (How appropriate, hah?) It’s a time of new beginnings! Correspondences include colors of soft green, pale yellows and pastels. Face East during Ostara and you’ll align with clarity, new beginnings and awakenings. ‘Tis the Season! Music Review: Ostara/2 Hours of Magical Springtime…

Weyland’s Whey March 2026 Blood Moon Column
The Full Moon occurs on March third. It coincides with the total lunar eclipse. As Earth’s shadow moves across this full moon, our satellite darkens and becomes reddish–the Blood Moon Effect. This will be the third full moon of this year and the last full moon in Winter. This rare Blood Moon Eclipse will be on display over North and South America. Magic wise, it brings sudden endings and revelations, a significant event with great implications, denoting truth, balance and illumination. (The Old Farmer’s Almanac, Astronomy Magazine, www.britannica.com, ABC 13 Houston and ZodiacHelp) In English? There’s gonna be closures and opportunities. Lots of change and transformations. Like caterpillars and werewolves, these can be…
