WitchCrafting: Crafts for Witches
Air-Dry Clay Merry meet. If you prefer to make tools, charms, altar decorations and gifts, clay could be all you need. In this case, it was block of the air-drying variety. Purchased at a tag sale years ago, one corner of the plastic had split open, drying some of the clay. Placing the block in an airtight container and adding some water restored it. A ziplock plastic bag also works. Air-dry clay is soft and pliable. Kneed it a few times and it’s ready to be rolled, shaped, pressed into molds and sculpted. The clay will begin to dry as soon as exposed to air, so to…

Worth the Witch
Metaphysical Monthly Mystery Box: Crystal Healing and Balance Legion of Lightworkers’ first Metaphysical Monthly Mystery Box box featured Crystal Healing and Balance. It arrived carefully packed inside a shipping box. The items I retrieved were numerous and delightful. They were selected by Joanne Crawford who works full-time in the metaphysical realm while continuing her spiritual training. She is also a Reiki practitioner certified in crystal healing. “I found through suffering the loss of two children and experiencing two divorces that life can feel as if you’re stuck in quicksand while the world goes on around you. Through using different tools and practices – that I’m now ready to…

Of Medicine ‘n’ Magick II
For the Love of Nona Gaia… For many, February conjures images of hearts, expressions of sweetness, gestures of love, too often in the form of conventional consumption of holistically toxic industrial chocolate and flowers that starve and deplete the earth, Nona Gaia, and all life she supports. I conjure similar images and expressions, yet I do my best to do so in ways that acknowledge and honor Nona Gaia, ways in which we nourish and sustain her, and all life she supports. Past, present and future. I conjure images and expressions that reinforce the connections that bind all life. Past, present and future. In this framework, I invite…

Shadow Work in Dreamspace
Shadow Work in Dreamspace: A Guided Anahata Meditation (Photo by Jake Buonemani on Unsplash) Blessed night, all. I had just woken up from shamanic dreamspace and I thought I would share with you my experience and interpretation of shadow work within dreaming. This was a bit intense and the information given was a little difficult for me to take in. But I know well with my line of work when it comes to shadows, it is something that is always needed. This dream started out in a church I went to once with my friend Victoria as a child. Oddly, though this is where Lammas monologues were being held. If…

Witch & Popcorn
Review of Behind You Bright Blessings, film lovers! I am reviewing yet another horror film! My favorite genre! This one was not as fun as some others I have reviewed, but it’s still a good film to discuss magical topics. It’s called Behind You, and here is a trailer to watch! The 2020 film follows sisters Olivia and Claire, whose mom has just died. They are brought to stay with their Aunt Beth, who they don’t know, while people try to reach their father. Right off the bat, their Aunt informs them they are not welcome, and it turns out she has good reason for this. While Aunt…

The Sacred Spoon
Balancing Meals – Root Chakra I have been called a kitchen witch by many and never truly understood what the term meant until it was explained to me, somewhat recently, as a witch who put all of their loving and healing energy into their food, and love to feed others with these caring energies. That just about hit the nail on the head. I love being in my kitchen making tinctures, salves, teas, and potions; I enjoy putting all of my loving and healing energy into them to help others heal. And I LOVE to cook. So of course I love creating good, healing food for those I care…
