Somebody Feed Phil Bright Blessings Viewers, Or should I say foodies? I admit, there is one type of show or film I love just as much as I love horror, and that is food shows. This particular show I’m reviewing today was started in 2018, and was extended to a total of six seasons, which stopped being produced in 2022. It has been shot all over the world, and it earned two real TV awards, and two Emmy nominations. It is called Somebody Feed Phil, and here is a trailer you can watch:     Before I begin bragging on the show and revealing its magic, let me tell…

Faery Story – The Land of Cassari

Hi everyone! It’s Kelpie Sunpearl here again to regale you! This story was something my grandma told me when I was younger.    Lily Tranelis, a half-elf bookkeeper, fell asleep on top of her book, scrolls scattered around her, after a long day of scribing. Once they made sure she was asleep, the faeries that had been watching Lily for a couple of years now, appeared around her. Some of them started tidying up,  and one named Cerulean Sky placed a blanket on her so she didn’t catch a cold. One, by the name of Willowmist, braided Lily’s hair and placed a pretty ribbon at the end. Another…

Juicy Gossip!                                    by Kelpie Sunpearl Hi everyone! Hope everyone is having a good day! If not, I hope these JUUUUUICY bits of gossip from Birchwood Grove distract you and help you have a better day!  I was talking to Twig Magpie the other day. He helps his father run The Magpie’s Nest, the general store in BG. He also finds neat artifacts and odds n ends for the fairies and is THE best person to go to for the latest rumors or gossip going around!  SO here we go! Twig told me that the last couple of days has been CRAAAAZY for the Rainbow Animal Care Clinic (RAAC)! Some…

Reservation Dogs     A wonderful new indigenous comedy is making waves on Hulu. Starring such veteran actors as Zahn McClarnon and Gary Farmer, this refreshing show is about a group of Native American teens and their days and nights at home on their reservation in Oklahoma. Bored, tired of the bad things that go on there, and to some extent, ready to get the hell away for good, the kids stick together, making the best of the worst, and making the viewers die laughing, begging for more. Here is a trailer for the show:     The magic of this film comes from the fact that it’s an…

Review of My 600 Pound Life Bright Blessings! The show I am reviewing addresses sensitive topics: body image, health, and the identity all of this creates. Magically, it addresses transformation, and the fact magic is a process that takes time. It’s not flinging one spell, uttering a few words, or “putting the energy out to the Universe” and then going off and forgetting about it. My 600 Pound Life streams on Hulu, and my husband and I have watched several episodes. Multiple individuals open up to share their struggles, and successes with the public. Some allow people to see them nude. They allow camera crews into their everyday personal…

A Druid’s Garden, Edible Forestry, Year Two A year ago, I wrote an article on putting in an edible forest garden when I was so excited to finally have enough outdoor space to plant one after waiting lots of years for it. And someone requested a follow-up on that first article, so here it is. Just to recap the basics: an edible forest garden is made up of three layers, trees, shrubs, and ground covers, all perennial and all edible in some way. Most of the examples of EFGs I’ve seen look a lot like a jungle, masses of plants scrambling all over each other. But I’m a druid and…
