Review of The Guilt Trip     Seth Rogen fans got an extra special treat when he teamed up with the goddess Barbara Streisand as a mother/ son pair in the hysterically funny film The Guilt Trip. You can watch the side-splitting funny trailer here:     In the film, Rogen plays Andy Brewster, an extremely intelligent under achiever who has more education than accomplishments. He’s spent every penny of his inheritance to invent, and produce his so-called wonder cleaning product, ScieoClean- and doesn’t understand why nobody is buying it. He’s chronically single, lives in a lousy apartment, and doesn’t even have any friends. Not only that, he’s chronically…

House Hunters Renovation     Bright Blessings, Film Lovers! This review is about a tv series, not a film, and one many indulge in binge watching- HGTV’s House Hunters Renovation. Different from plain old House Hunters, people see properties they know they are going to have to gut, remodel, and sometimes, completely redo to make them livable for their families. This hilarious video shows some of the nightmares people walk into when viewing properties for this program:     Many of us have house shopped, and some reading this may even sell real estate. Each seller thinks THEIR property is the BEST ever, but buyers beg to differ. Part…

Review of Jacob Mulliken’s Berserkers   Bright Blessings, Film Lovers! I was sent this gem a couple of weeks ago and spent the next hour and a half laughing and enjoying the campy good fun it’s filled with. A comedy horror released in August of 2014, this is available to stream for as little as $1.99 on Amazon, unless you’ve got Prime, and you may be able to watch it free. A trailer to show what you are missing is here:     The film follows Hunter and friends, who gather on his birthday. They are going out of their way to cheer him up as he’s broken hearted…

Video Book Review Seeking the Spirits of Palo Kimbisa Exploring the Mysterious World of the Afro-Cuban Religion by Tata Rodriguez as told to Sophia Kelly Shultz Publisher: Red Feather 112 Pages Publication Date: 1/28/2021   Bright Blessings. I had the pleasure of reviewing this amazing book. It is the words of Palo Kimbisa elder Tata Rodriguez and was told to Sophia Kelly Shultz. Published in 2021 by Red Feather Mind Body Spirit, this book is a short 112 pages, and you will be sad it’s not longer. Shultz’s conversational writing style is an easy read, and her relaxed voice comes through well for readers. With much love and care, she…

Review of My 600 Pound Life Bright Blessings! The show I am reviewing addresses sensitive topics: body image, health, and the identity all of this creates. Magically, it addresses transformation, and the fact magic is a process that takes time. It’s not flinging one spell, uttering a few words, or “putting the energy out to the Universe” and then going off and forgetting about it. My 600 Pound Life streams on Hulu, and my husband and I have watched several episodes. Multiple individuals open up to share their struggles, and successes with the public. Some allow people to see them nude. They allow camera crews into their everyday personal…

    Hekate Doll Transformation

So my one friend loves Hekate & I decided to make her a gift that she would love. I make custom dolls, but for some reason had never made a god or goddess, just creepy random dolls. But, I was up for the challenge. I used three different dolls to make up this one. I took the head from a snarky looking Barbie, the body of a Monster High doll that was missing her hands and then hands from a different Barbie.     The first things I had to do was strip the doll doll down to it’s core. I removed the face with acetone and cut the hair…

Review of Behind You   Bright Blessings, film lovers! I am reviewing yet another horror film! My favorite genre! This one was not as fun as some others I have reviewed, but it’s still a good film to discuss magical topics. It’s called Behind You, and here is a trailer to watch! The 2020 film follows sisters Olivia and Claire, whose mom has just died. They are brought to stay with their Aunt Beth, who they don’t know, while people try to reach their father. Right off the bat, their Aunt informs them they are not welcome, and it turns out she has good reason for this. While Aunt…
